StarStruck Patch Notes — May 8, 2024
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Woohoo!!! Here we go!
We’re happy to announce that v1.0 (full release) will be hitting the Steam store on the 15th of May!
It’s been a long road and a myriad of problems had to be slayed and vaporized, but we’re finally here!
What makes 1.0 different to the current early access version?
Gameplay
- The majority, if not all, of the bugs and issues have been sorted out.
- Several game breaking problems have been fixed.
- A LOT of dialogue based issues have been fixed. (So, so many. . .)
Immersion
- All the ambient music tracks have been added to the game, bringing the total up to a whopping 80+ songs to make your journey more memorable! So crank it up when you find your jam! Or keep it low for the ambiance (recommended).
- Many more sound- and visual effects have been added, giving the immersion factor just a little extra nudge.
- All backgrounds/scenes have been added to the game, so no more black screens with text, unless it was intended that way.
System
- In 1.0 we got rid of the manual save feature entirely and instead added many, many, many checkpoints where the game saves automatically in tandem with the first implemented major checkpoint saves.
- The Continue button now functions as a quick way to get back into the story between major saves, while the load menu is solely there for the major checkpoints. It also serves as a quick start should you not have played the game before, or if (for some reason) you deleted or lost all your save files.
- Added a credit button to the main menu.
- The ingame menu was changed to remove the manual save button.
- Hotkeys to access the menus ingame have been added and the default system menus have been obliterated.
To commemorate the full release of StarStruck we’re planning on chopping the price by 20% for a week come release day, so tell your friends, neighbors and archnemeses. Unfortunately this won’t mean much if you already own the game. Sorry about that. . . Blame the space rats for absconding with your hard earned loot, and accept our sincere gratitude for supporting this project.
We hope to see you all cruising the cosmos come Wednesday.
Have a stellar day~
