SULFUR Patch Notes — April 17, 2026

A note on rockets
Our intention with the changes to how the rockets work is to make it possible to modify their behaviour in more ways and to allow for more crazy builds. The old way totally ignored some stats, which made them less dynamic overall. We understand that if you have built a weapon around how some things didn’t work, this change may feel like a nerf initially. But the intention isn’t to nerf rockets, it is to allow for more interesting builds. The bullet speed modifiers weren't working properly in the last patch, which made it feel even more like a nerf. We have adjusted some things related to this in this patch, but stay tuned for more improvements on this.
Bugfixes
Fixed incorrect name on Scholar.
Fixed chain lightning looking bugged.
Fixed player being able to walk up extremely steep angles.
Fixed not being able to push barrels.
Fixed black screens when going back to church.
Explosion screenshakes now won’t get stuck in an infinite loop.
Cousin now doesn't spawn infinite minions in endless.
General
Added accessibility setting for increased contrast for the item descriptions (makes the transparent background opaque and makes the grey text white).
Adjusted the stamp cost for the Coffin from 50 to 20.
Melee hits don't give intact body parts anymore. As intended. Body part spawn rate still may be iffy.
Weapons
Beck now can have lasers attached.
The red laser now has the right color.
Enchantments
Prism now applies correctly.
Changed so that rockets weigh more, but have more force by default to offset some of the problems it had with mass in relation to speed.
Fixed an issue that made rocket launcher damage overpowered.
Levels
Castle
Fixed stacked barrels from clipping into ground in siderooms.
Forest
Fixed floating grass from trees in some chunks.
Desert
Added back missing collider to crypt entrance stairs.
