Castle Craft Patch Notes — May 1, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Dear Castle Crafters,
We're still working our way through your bug reports. Thank you so much for the patience and the detailed feedback! Every report helps, and this patch tackles another big batch of issues alongside some quality-of-life improvements we think you'll like. 🏰

✨ Additions
📖 New onboarding system to guide you through the various game systems - plus a new "Help" section in the main menu where you can revisit any of it at any time
⚔️ Added an explanation widget to Skirmish mode
🛠️ Added a link to the Castle Craft Steam Workshop in the Level Editor menu. It's easier than ever to subscribe to player-made levels and visit the Steam workshop via overlay.

⚖️ Balancing & Tweaks
🌙 Brighter environmental lighting at night; no more squinting
⛈️ Storm darkness no longer stacks with night darkness. Pitch-black nights are a thing of the past
🪨 Resources now get destroyed if the ground beneath them is removed
⏳ Resources no longer respawn immediately, so you can actually clear an area
🏰 Resources no longer spawn on castle elements
🐛 Fixes
Fixed resource duplication bug
Fixed resource meteor impacts spawning in the wrong location
Fixed stone and metal sometimes not respawning
Fixed leftover bits of resource spots lingering after destruction
Fixed resources still occasionally spawning on castle elements
Fix editing an existing level in the level editor resetting the portal location
Fixed crash related to the Upgrade Wall and Move Prefab abilities
Fixed key binding remapping widget not showing up in Settings
🛠️ Level Editor
Voxel biomes now load immediately when switched
Fixed switching voxel biomes causing resources to float in mid-air or get buried underground
The focus of the next patch will be balancing and progression and additional level editor quality of life features. We've received very helpful feedback from you, and that's where we're heading next.
All the best & happy building,
Jonathan & Marco (& Debimius)
