It's official: SWAPMEAT 1.0 arrives June 17
We're done cooking. On Wednesday, June 17, SWAPMEAT graduates out of Early Access and into its full 1.0 release.
If you've been swapping meat with us since EA launch back in October, this one's for you. Your bug reports, your co-op horror stories, your "what if the gun was also a guy" suggestions helped shape this game. Thank you to all of our Meat Lab testers and those who gave feedback throughout Early Access! We built 1.0 with you. Lastly, if you’ve been enjoying your runs, we’d deeply appreciate it if you want to leave us a positive review.
Now, onto the news!

We’re saving the big patch notes for next week (launch day!!), but here’s a taste of what you can expect when 1.0 drops:
- Reworked boss fights: bigger, better, crazier!
- An all-new final showdown on a new world
- Steam Achievements and Trading cards
- The full campaign + Random Solar Systems mode that unlocks once the campaign is complete
- New features, meta progression, polish, bug fixes, and more – the bells and whistles!
Exclusive behind the scenes content daily in Discord
Here's the plan: starting today, June 10, we're running a seven-day countdown to launch. Every day, a new door opens — a fresh reveal, a drop, a surprise — counting all the way down to the 17th. We're keeping what's behind each door under wraps. You'll just have to open them. It’s our gift to you.
