Haunting Horrors
Haunting Horrors area is now available to play! With it comes 8 levels, 8 bonus levels, 1 trial level, 5 common, 2 rare and 1 mythic items! As well as 3 new hero missions each with a rare item reward. The Witch set will have you turning into a Super Frog and ribbeting all over the place. Meanwhile the Cyborg set will have you firing more bawks than you can count. Watch out for those dancing skeletons and try not to get spooked! Be sure to check it out and be the first to set some new global highscores!
Spooky Season
October 8th to November 15th
During the Spooky Season Event 5 item missions including 4 NEW MYTHICS will be yours to complete! The Bat Wings that will have you flapping around while the Wolf Paws will have you leaping in bounds. Mummy wraps for those of you who like to be armored and a Skele Jumper for those who love dashing forever. If that wasn’t enough, there’s 5 infinite missions to help you pump up those egg numbers so you can unlock them all.
PAX Aus
We’re heading to PAX Aus 11 - 13 October, 2024 at the MCEC in Melbourne. We’re excited to see everyone test out the new Spooky area. We will even be hosting a high score tournament for the chance to win a free Steam key, as well as giving out sticker packs to those who follow our socials. The Nitty Gritty
Clucky
- Increased base egg pickup range to 4.8 from 4.6 meters.
- Increased base glide time to 2.2 from 2 seconds.
Rascal
- Rascal now spends more time running straight compared to when he is turning sharply.
- Rascal should now be better at staying ahead of Clucky when she is traveling faster than normal, such as during a sugar rush.
- Decreased maximum turn speed.
- Increased stun duration to 1.25/1/0.75/0.5 from 1/0.8/0.6/0.4 seconds.
- Decreased dash duration to 0.15/0.17/0.19/2.1 from 0.16/0.18/0.2/0.22 seconds.
- Increased time to charge his dash to 30/22/14/6 from 30/20/10/4 seconds.

- Now dresses up during Spooky Season.

Levels
- Added a new area Haunting Horrors consisting of 8 levels and 8 bonus levels.
- Added a spooky trial level.
- Added heaps of spooky obstacles.
- All tutorial levels are called training levels for consistency.
- Star trumpets now play at the end of training levels.
- Trampoline hitboxes are now wider, taller, longer and positioned deeper into the z-axis to be easier to hit.
- Trailer eggs are now at double jump height.
- Horses now have better hitboxes.
- Added spooky obstacles to the everything trials.
- Reduced the likelihood to get sports obstacles in the trial level.

Missions
- Mission popups now sit higher on the screen to be less distracting.
- Now 7 rascal missions in total for stars 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 and 4.
- Egg rewards for missions have been adjusted.
- Event and Challenge missions now continue infinitely!
- Mission order has been updated to prioritize relevant missions to the top.
- Event dates now included in the event popup.
- Event popup now always occurs on game start during an event.
- Event popup now pops up faster.
- Event popup now shows images of the limited time items to collect.
- The Missions icon will now appear spooky during the Spooky Season Event.
QoL
- Added a ‘Get Spooky’ button which takes you to Haunting Horrors during the Spooky Season Event.
- Item’s rarity is now shown in the shop.
- Adjusted items in the shop to be bigger and better positioned.
- Status effects now show an on-screen decal.
- Adjusted the sugar rush indicator placement to better support varying resolution sizes.
- Resolved a compression issue that caused some icons to not be transparent on iOS.
- Some item game speed increases are now additively scaling rather than multiplicative. Multipliers now happen in a consistent and predictable order.
- Now the full game overlay shows off multiple images.
- Eggs now glow slightly.
- Pull mechanic has been improved and no longer pulls clucky after she has passed the pull origin, and pulls should be more consistent and no longer cause position glitching.
- Adjusted more materials to dissolve when near the camera.
- Image swapper in modals can now handle transparent to transparent images.
- Fixed spelling mistake of ‘spinning’ in a load screen tip.
Performance
- Simplified missions to be more performant.
- Reduced amount of active materials in hay levels.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug that occurred during saving.
- Fixed a bug where selection was lost when changing your name’s noun.
- Fixed a bug in training levels where you could be asked to press a key that was in its recovery cooldown.
- Fixed a bug where the dashing timer would cause the dash recovery timer to start again.
- Fixed a bug where touching the mouse removed all keyboard input.
- Fixed a bug where Clucky remained small during dashes after swapping from hero dash boots.
- Fixed a bug that could occur during the Bustlin’ Barnyards training level.
- Fixed a bug where top scores were showing incorrect data.
- Fixed a bug where on screen joystick guides were not working.
- Fixed a bug where on screen joystick guides could be stuck on.
- Fixed a bug where certain timers weren’t adding time correctly.

Hotfixes
- Fixed an issue where some new spooky items could be bought before their event / hero missions were complete. The spooky hero and missions items have been removed from all players accounts and their eggs refunded plus an extra 100 eggs per item, as a sorry for making you have to buy it again. Who didn't want an extra excuse to hang with Spooky Wesley.
- Fixed a bug where move input could be locked out after tutorials.
- Fixed a bug where input could be locked out after tutorials.
- Fixed a bug where spamming next level button would cause future levels to load not the next level.
- Fixed a bug where spamming buttons on the end screen could load multiple modals at once.
- Added an input cooldown to buttons on the end screen and all cannon buttons.
