Sports Event
Welcome to our Sports event! For the whole of July there will be new egg-citing event missions and 7 NEW EVENT LIMITED ITEMS to unlock. Including the beefed up Cricket Helmet that mimics your highest armor item, the Sports Jersey that will really get your bawks bouncing, and the Bowling Ball that lets Clucky go bawk bowling! We have also added 3 NEW BONUS LEVELS featuring new sporty obstacles such as shuttlecocks, tennis balls and nets.
Avcon Appearance
Daytime Devs will be showcasing Bawk Bawk at Avcon 2024 in the indie games section. If you live in South Australia make sure to swing by and say hello. We will even be hosting a highscore tournament for the chance to win a free Steam key, as well as giving out sticker packs to those who follow our socials.

- 7 new event limited items. Get them now or you’ll have to wait until the event is on again.
- 60 cannon tickets to collect for completing challenges for dashing, gliding, jumping and running within a single run.
- 8,000 eggs to collect for dashing, gliding, jumping and running a certain amount of times.

- Added new obstacles including bowling pins, footballs, shuttlecocks, tennis balls, tennis nets and wickets.
- Added barrel grass, barrels explode, bone fences, bowling pins, chippies, doughnuts, footballs, full corn, giant haystack, giant hex walls, rolling hay fast, shuttlecocks, tennis balls, tennis nets and wickets obstacles to the trial levels.

- Added a new mission type Complete X Dailies.
- Adjusted daily mission to complete 1>2>3 instant missions to 1>3>5.
- Added a new weekly mission to Complete X Dailies.
- New missions should now be marked as new.
- Added a popup that occurs on first login during an event.
- Instant missions are now orange.
- Hero missions are now green.
- Clicking the mission tab will now scroll back to the top.
- Item missions show above egg or ticket missions.
QoL
- Area select signs are now boards showcasing what the area looks like even when locked.
- Area boards now show what items you’ve unlocked from them.
- An area specific animal and the area’s mythic item now hang out near the area board.
- Areas now appear in the demo and suggest the full game on click.
- Boosts are now tracked separately and the highest current boost is applied.
- Removed eggs from muddy tractors that lead directly into mud zones.
- Removed pig eggs that lead to death.
- Completed missions are now not marked as new.
- Item board is no longer ordered by new.
- Jump button is above dash button and button input hint name no longer gets cut off on some resolutions.
- Now additions to the timer overflow into the next charge for bawks and dashes if they do not have max charges.
- Additions to bawk and dash recharge while recovering are shown.
- Fixed some distance and degree calculations that trigger obstacles when the player is in range to be more accurate.
- Increased egg spawn from 3 - 4 per block to 3 - 6 per block.
- Adds a dizzy screen effect when dizzy.
- Adjusted snake LODs so the best model can be seen at max graphics.
- Now says “Purchase the full game” to help users identify it costs real money.
- Event and Hero missions tab now only suggest purchase when you click the overlay stating these missions require the full game or when clicking an incomplete mission in these tabs.
Performance
- Cats and Rabbits now have LODs.
- Reduced the performance impact of eggs.
- Pebbles no longer cast shadows.
- Enabled GPU instancing on duck, ducklings, stone and trampoline materials.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug where cat’s would turn invisible.
- Fixed a bug where time slows screen effect would still be active during invulnerable.
- Fixed a bug that caused bawks to continue forever.
- Fixed a bug where bonus recharge applied at max charges.
- Fixed a bug that occurred when attempting to play an empty string sound.
- Fixed a bug that occurred when loading levels on mac.
- Fixed a bug where eggs spawned too close together resulting in them only spawning on one side of the cylinder.
- Fixed a bug where the camera’s FOV changed between menu transitions.
- Fixed a bug where dash breaking or any form of destroying an object counted as bawk destroyed.
- Fixed a bug that caused errors during loading.
