Hey all! I hope everyone's having a good weekend. Here's a new update with plenty of fixes, some new lore, and an alternative ending to the game!
PATCH NOTES - 1.5.1
NEW CONTENT & LORE
Alternative Ending: Added a new alternative ending and a method to defeat Ivan.
Ask Tina Function: Added "Ask Tina" functionality to the organ document.
Documentation: Added a note explaining how to use Talking Tina.
Lore Additions: Added a new note and a lore reference to the "basement abomination" in the hallway.
FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS
Gameplay & Logic
Character Control: Disabled player control during the basement sequence and fixed an issue where the player could walk toward Ivan during the final encounter cutscene.
Ivan Logic: Fixed an issue where Ivan's laugh would pause his movement; the laugh no longer interrupts his logic.
Game Timer: Fixed the timer so it no longer resets after reaching 99.
Animations: Added grab animations for Up direction.
Consistency: Transitions and room entrances are now consistent throughout the house.
Audio & Visual
Environmental Polish: Visual, audio, and logic improvements made to Wood 1, Woods 2, and the Basement Dream sequence.
Scene Transitions: Fixed a "spider sound" occurring during scene switches.
Visibility: Fixed an issue where the "kids in barrel" would not appear in the world.
UI & Systems
Save System: Fixed the save display to correctly show the 4 manual slots instead of "Autosave."
Settings Persistence: Fixed variables (scanlines and other options) to ensure they remain persistent after quitting the game.
Resolution: Game now starts in Full Screen on 1080p (or multiples); non-1080p scalable monitors default to Windowed Mode.
Control Scheme: The control scheme prompt only displays once. - It can be switched at any time via options menu.
UI Cleanup: Fixed the "Bob you're still alive" UI exit issue and corrected several name tags, including the "deer basement" tag.
Interaction & Items
Prompts: Fixed the bullet pickup prompt in the dollhouse.
Equipment: Fixed an issue where the shotgun would disable when moving from Hallway 2 to Hallway 1.
Known Issues (future update):
Video Compatibility: Videos require re-encoding to a different codec; they currently do not render on Steam Deck.
Equipment: Shotgun does not disable when the player goes to sleep.
Death Screen: The load menu should appear upon death instead of the Play/Quit options.
