BodyRecords Patch Notes — January 21, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Fixes & Changes:
Fixed a crash that could occur when a player left the session during the teleportation process to the Backstage.
Fixed an issue where the Runner could abduct a player who had just been killed, causing teleportation to trigger twice and preventing the death location marker from appearing on the compass.
Updated the game’s packet compression method and settings to reduce CPU load during on-the-fly asset streaming, which could previously cause micro-stutters on lower-end CPUs.
Updated the default graphics preset: the FPS cap has been removed (previously locked to 60 FPS by default), and vertical sync is now enabled by default (previously disabled).
The initial in-game time of day has been shifted back by 5 hours so that night does not begin too early at the start of the game.
⚠️ Important Notice:
This update requires a large download due to a full repack of the game files. Previously saved game settings and save slots will be automatically reset to avoid conflicts with older configurations.
