Update 0.3.0 — Late Join Support
BodyRecords Patch Notes — February 5, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
We’re excited to present the next update, which represents another step toward the upcoming global gameplay overhaul.
Changes:
Added Late Join Support, allowing players to join an ongoing match after it has already started via the session list or by inviting a friend directly into the match, as long as the session capacity of 4 players is not exceeded. The preparation phase and synchronized team start remain applicable when starting a match after gathering in the Lobby.
Reworked the handling of new player connections to improve overall session stability and to resolve issues related to the timing of internal processes.
Restored sun rotation in line with the progression of in-game time.
Adjusted the brightness and color of daytime lighting to create a more oppressive and immersive atmosphere.
Reworked the detection and presentation of host connection errors in the main menu. Players will now consistently see connection issues instead of being silently returned to the main menu upon disconnect.

Fixes:
Fixed the ATV steering adjustment curve based on movement speed. Steering angles are now barely restricted at low speeds, allowing for more stable and precise obstacle avoidance.
Fixed an issue where the quest list could randomly fail to appear for a newly connected client.
Optimizations:
Reworked shadow settings across all quality levels. Overall shadow quality has been improved at every setting, and cascade smoothing has been enabled globally to support the return of dynamic sun rotation.
Reduced the dynamic shadow draw distance to lower overall GPU load.
Removed two clusters of small, barely noticeable vegetation from the world to improve stability.
Removed some minor, low-visibility decorative elements from the Communications Center to further improve stability.
Partially optimized textures of decorative objects to prevent texture streaming pool overflows, reduce overall video memory usage, and decrease the total size of game resources.
Looking Ahead
This update lays important groundwork for future gameplay improvements. We’ll continue focusing on stability, performance, and atmosphere while moving steadily toward larger and more ambitious updates ahead. Thank you for your continued support and feedback — there’s much more to come.
