Tollway Tycoon Patch Notes — May 21, 2026

This patch introduces multiple new systems:
Billboards, Speed Camera's, a Kiosk, Emergency Credit and Peaceful Mode.
Each of these items is intended to be used extensively early to mid-game and provide extra gameplay options.
They each have unique cards, plus multiple options for each system to help or hinder the Operations Manager.
Peaceful mode has also been introduced, which prevents major events from occurring.
A player can choose to play in peaceful mode during the initial greeting message from HQ.
Players running through peaceful mode will still encounter mini-events for tollbooths and the world (occasional bombs and deer for example). But major events such as zombie hoards, ghost waves, bigfoot will not occur.

- Added the Kiosk with 17 new kiosk Event Cards.
- Added Peaceful Mode.
- Added Emergency Credit from HQ, HQ will force repayment for the next 3 days with an extra cut on top.
- Operations Booth unlocks 4 additional staff slots.
- Added an introduction Zombie to the game.
- Changed the Priority Dispatch, Emergency Detours and Incident Command Centre Operations Controls.
- Scaled ghost event difficulty based on game days.
- Tweaks to tollbooth mini event probability based on day progression.

- Game Tips have been added to the loading screen.
- Added car honk volume control to the options menu.
- Updated the loading screen, added tips.
- Added menu placeholder for prestige items - end-game vanity upgrades
- The objective tracker now shows counters for tracking
- Adjusted global stats and incorporated further data protection.

- Safety Daily Directives will no longer instantly resolve on a new game if chosen.
- Corrected the draw-order of the UFO tractor beam and e-mail for the Corporate Surge event.
- More controls against data persistence during save/load
- Ghost fog should persist throughout the night
With these additional systems, some bugs may pop up - report any you may see through the steam discussion board.
Additional patching will be deployed this week to further adjust the Kiosk and customer models.
