Diary of Lucie has undergone a major update for the first time after official release.
The direction of this update is to add later content, reinforce the story and ending, and balance existing content.
The English and Chinese version builds will be released as soon as possible next week.
Please check the patch notes below for details.
1. Added new final boss and ending
A new boss battle will now appear in the final stage.
When clearing the boss, a new ending scene, and ending credits have been added.
Now enjoy a more natural and complete story and ending than before.
In addition, the existing final boss has been modified to behave more naturally with the addition of behavioral patterns.
2. New Difficulty Hell mode added
Starting from version 3.0.0, a new difficulty level: Hell Mode is added.
In hell mode, all actions of enemies become faster, especially new patterns are added to most bosses.
You can earn more credits and farming opportunities as it is more difficult than the previous difficulty.
Even though Diary of Lucie was designed based on a hardcore game, there were many opinions that it was too easy going backwards.
So, if the difficulty that has been revealed so far was added after the developer cleared it, the developer put down all restrictions and conscience to the point that it was impossible to clear the hell difficulty level that was added this time.

3. Update existing content
items
Most items with a duration limit are being disliked and we want to improve this.
The items below are changed to strengthen property damage with no duration limit.
- Scroll of Flame
- Scroll of Ice
- Scroll of Wind
- Scroll of Lightning
The items below are changed to stat enhancement with no duration limit.
- Donoot: HP recovery, critical hit increase
- Energy Drink: Immune to abnormal conditions, increase stamina
- Whiskey: Increases defense
- Cupcake: HP recovery, critical hit increase
- Shooting Star: Health recovery, balance increase
Skills
We want to increase the utilization of skills that are relatively less preferred.
- Heat Breath: Total magic damage increased.
- Ice Ball: Changed from the existing continuous firing method to a method that shoots a large amount of ice balls at once.
- Cold Breath: Total magic damage increased.
- Tornado: Increased the range at which enemies are drawn in.
- London Rondo: Removed 2 spins of level 3 talent and increased spin damage by 100%. No longer stops on cast
- Mana Staff: Changed the mana acquisition amount to increase in all levels.
- Acceleration: Mana consumption reduced by 1 -> Changed to decrease by 2.
- Massive Haste: Instead of increasing base mana cost to 2, now reduces cooldown by 30% starting at level 1.
- Alprazolam: Now, starting from level 1, the damage increase is changed to the boss.
- Ice Crystal: Total magic damage increased. The number of attacks at level 3 is changed to 2 additional times.
- Railgun: Base fixed damage increased. Level 3 is changed to increase total damage instead of 2 attacks.
The skills below have a high performance-to-efficiency ratio, so I'd like to make some adjustments.
- Haste: Mana consumption is unified to 3.
- Fire Spear: Mana consumption is unified to 5, and spear damage is increased.
- flash: Mana consumption is unified to 4.
- Newclear Punch: All areas mana consumption is unified to 5.
- Thunder flash: Mana consumption in all areas is unified to 5. Increases physical damage.
weapon
Memorize: Cooldown reduced by 10% -> Reduced by 20%
Staff of Mana: Increases charge speed and attack power.
Olympus: Increases magic attack power.
Relic
The efficiency of items related to movement speed is low, so we want to increase the performance more.
Hunter's Instinct - Duration increased to 12 seconds, movement speed increased by 40%
Ring of Vitality - Increases stamina recovery by 35%
Golden Feather - Increase movement speed by 20%
Fire Gemstone - Increases fire property damage by 30%
Rings (Swamp Ring, Lava Ring, Frost Ring): Elemental resistance rate is unified at 100%.
Emerald Feather: Speed 30%
Umbrella: The chance of not consuming a potion is changed to 50%.
Scholar's Toshi: Changed to 3 mana recovery when entering a new room.
8BITDO Hand Mirror - Changed property damage to 50%
In addition, some enchantments and weapon enhancement options have been further balanced.
4. Intermediate save, auto save function added
Changed so that progress is automatically saved whenever you arrive at a new floor.
This feature has been requested since the beginning of development, but was not added considering the possibility of abuse.
However, considering the high difficulty and increased play time, we decided that the auto save function could greatly reduce the stress.
Now, feel free to take a break in the middle and play!
5. New DLC: Expansion Pack added
A new DLC will be released.
The DLC will add new content including 13 new weapons: Hammers.
Try the new playstyle hammer weapon!
Other bug fixes[\h2]
Fixed an issue where the boss, Pengranger, would occasionally launch out of the map.
Fixed an issue where some clear achievements were not applied properly.
Fixed window (title) interaction in Lucy's room to work more easily.
Fixed an issue where equipment and items were sometimes not acquired in the Encyclopedia.
Fixed the issue where descriptions of Lucky Pig and Nightmare difficulty were not displayed normally.
Fixed the phenomenon where the credit box relic of the firefly artifact property was not applied.
Fixed the issue where the letterbox was not released after clearing the stage 4 boss.
Fixed an issue where sometimes movement speed was not applied properly after clearing stage 4.
Changed equipment and items to not be discarded in the room.
Fixed an issue where sometimes the screen freezes or a black screen is output and only background music is heard.
Fixed the issue where the screen freezes intermittently when killing Peng Soldier (Penguin with a spear) in Stage 2.
Fixed a bug where coin-type items sometimes crashed immediately when used immediately after synthesis.
Fixed an issue where some of the accessory options (ex: bow penetration option, cane movement shooting, etc.) were not applied properly.
Fixed not displaying mana shortage message when discarding an item from the inventory.
Fixed a bug where abnormal items sometimes appeared in Marie's shop.
Fixed the issue where an error occurred intermittently when purchasing items at Marie Shop.
Fixed an issue where players would sometimes become unable to move when dying in battle with the previous final boss.
Fixed the phenomenon of appearing repeatedly even after watching the stage 4 flashback production.
Fixed the issue where an error message was displayed when dying in the boss stage.
Other fixes
Fixed an issue where the previous final boss would go outside the map.
Fixed an issue where higher grade options appeared better when enchanting weapons.
