Delta Light Patch Notes — November 17, 2020
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey hey, this is the first patch note I get to write after releasing the game and I would like to open with a thanks to everyone that played the game <3 It was amazing to see people to react on the release, the levels, the BOSSES, and all the posts and comments. Thanks.
Victory Screen
Seeing the game being played by more people allowed me to see some things that we missed and could clarify ingame. One thing was a proper Victory Screen. The game waits for you to press enter after each level, this allows you to just sit and look at the map you just finished or chill to the music. But it was not clear the game was waiting for an input. So we added the victory screen to fix that.

lag issues / stuttering
Other gripe that users reported is that the game can be quite laggy, causing mobs to go outside the map and destroy himself and also causing lines to not finish properly. We implemented some ways of balancing more of the CPU load over the same amount of time. This should make sure that CPU load doesn't spike and stops the feelings of stuttering. This fix is live right now!
For advanced users we have added control to this mechanism inside the options.ini file. This file is located at "%AppData%\Roaming\FlapBox\DeltaLight\options.ini". In this file a value is assigned to the key
"loopDivider" (defaulty the value is 8). Setting the value higher is going to let the engine try and smooth the load further, possible decreasing spikes. Setting the number too high might cause slowdowns.
Future!
We have some plans for the future. I would like to use this note to reveal an feature where we can show used designed maps directly in the client. Right now we are working behind the scenes to implement it. This together with some big updates to the level editor in the future (and new characters are in the works also!)
Thanks again everyone for your feedback!
