BlazeSky Patch Notes — June 24, 2020
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Lots of fixes and improvements. Notable improvements include dynamic UI support for keyboard, XBox One, and PS4 controllers - play with just a keyboard on your laptop, plug in a controller and the UI will automatically switch to the controller.
Other updates:
- There are now three save slots. Great for testing, or if you have more than one player on your account.
- Fixes for the opening scene. Still not final, but should work with any aspect ratio.
- Multiple aspect ratio support - 4:3, 16:9, 16:10, 2:1 or some other kind of monitor? All UI elements should work fine now.
- In-game cursor. Sometimes it's the little things.
- Lots and lots of other UI, visual, and perf changes.
- You can now configure settings in the initial launch screen, including setting visuals to Ultra with no vsync.
- Currently seeing 100-400fps on a Windows laptop with a 1060 NVIDIA video card, so that seems to be coming along nicely. There were a few places (e.g. certain nebula effects) with a lot of particles that were causing slowdowns - all of those should be fixed now.
- We are preparing to add professional voice acting to the game. The final script revision is locked - you may notice a few places where the temp audio doesn't match the final text, specifically Barnes in the opening and possibly a few barks. That's temporary! :)
