Early Access Planned Content
Rogue Masters Patch Notes — December 1, 2023
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hello everyone.
After many years of hard work, Rogue Masters is finally available for everyone to play through Steam Early Access. We want to thank everyone who supported us so far - it means a lot to us and we wouldn't be here without you.
As you might know, an Early Access game means it is playable, but not yet finished - and that we want to carry on with development by adding new content, features, balancing changes and of course, bugfixes. We still have a long road ahead until we reach version 1.0 of the game.
Something to be aware of is that Rogue Masters has been made by a small indie team, which of course limits the scope of what we can do, and the speed at which we can do it. In this first moment, we'll be focusing on bugfixes first and foremost, but we're always keeping a close eye on your suggestions, and will certainly discuss them internally over time - certain things inevitably have more priority than others.
In any case, we of course do have long-term plans beyond just bugfixes. Right now, the major content we want the game to have by the version 1.0 is:
- 6 new weapon movesets (to be defined - but 3 of them being 1-handed movesets and 3 of them being 2-handed movesets, 2 for each main attack type)
- 2 new Horde / Endless bosses (one for each remaining elemental attack type)
- New game modes: Team Deathmatch (PvP), Capture the Flag (PvP), Battle of Chaos (4v2 PvPvE)
- 3 new Horde / Endless maps
- 2 new Deathmatch maps
- New maps for game modes that need it
As mentioned, this is the major content planned. This doesn't mean that we'll also stop updating the game when it reaches version 1.0, but that's going to be a milestone where we deem the game "finished" and can work on adding extra content beyond what we described, and still support it with bugfixes and balancing changes over time.
On top of everything described above, we're also keen on incentivizing and sometimes possibly organizing community events taking place inside the game, such as PvP tournaments, for instance.
And that's it for our major planned content. Once again, huge thanks to everyone who is supporting us and enjoying the game.
See you next time.
