ZERO Sievert – Test the Next Update!
Our next update is FULL of content, fixes and train skins (more on that later...) and we want you to jump in early to put it through its paces.
This update brings a mix of new threats, new content, and meaningful quality-of-life improvements to the Zone. From a new roaming presence in the Swamp, to expanded storage systems that make your bunker cleaner, more organised, and easier to manage, there’s plenty to discover both in and out of raids.
We’ve also made a number of improvements to controls, progression, and overall usability, giving you more control over how you play, fight, and survive.
If you would like to give it a go, head on over to the official ZERO Sievert Discord sever, join the Beta Squad channel and jump on in! @Ethan is ready and waiting to get you testing with the best of them!
And if you're not quite convinced yet, just read on below to see what's in-store. Not only do you get to see it all early, but you get to help us make sure the update is as good as it can be!
👤 New Boss: Phantom
Something is moving in the Swamp… and it doesn’t stay in one place for long.
Added a new roaming boss: Phantom, found on the Swamp map.
Unlike static encounters, Phantom actively patrols the map, similar to Arman — meaning you’ll need to stay alert at all times.
Equipped with a unique loadout, including:
Ghillie Suit armor, designed for maximum concealment.
Custom ghillie modifications for his N1o, enhancing stealth gameplay.
Once killed, Phantom drops Stash Coordinates revealing a hidden chest location directly on your minimap.
📦 New Container System
Storage just got a serious upgrade.
Containers (including previously introduced Ammo Containers) have been added to support a wide variety of item types.
Each container can hold up to 99,999 of a single item, allowing for large-scale resource management.
Functionality Improvements
Items stored inside containers:
Count towards quests, crafting, and repairs
Are automatically consumed when used in these systems
Containers cannot be taken into raids, keeping them as a bunker-focused storage solution.
📻 New Quest: “Get Some Music”
The Zone isn’t always silent… if you know where to look.
Added a new quest: “Get Some Music”
Unlocks after completing “Towards Makeshift Camp”
Completing this quest unlocks the brand-new Bunker Radio feature in the bunker…
🎵 Bunker Radio
Bring some life back into your bunker.
Unlock the Radio by completing “Get Some Music”
Allows you to find and play music tracks while in the bunker
A small but meaningful way to personalise your downtime between raids
Starting off with two tracks, more will be added across future updates
🚆 Train Skins System
Show your progress with new visual unlocks.
Added 6 new train skins, each tied to specific achievements and progression paths:
Green Army – Join the Green Army
Crimson Corporation – Join the Crimson Corporation
Scientist – Reach 450+ reputation
Watcher – Complete the quest “The Crystal”
End Game – Finish the game with any ending
Anomaly – Complete the game via the Unknown NPC questline
Account Level Progression
Skins are unlocked at the account level and not per save. The game checks your save data on startup, meaning:
Existing players will instantly unlock any skins they’ve already earned and there's no need to replay content to claim rewards
🎮 Controller Improvements
A pass on controller usability and feel.
Improved Aim Assist for smoother targeting
Added Aim Assist strength slider for full customisation
B button now consistently exits menus, including the pause menu
Radial menu control moved from right stick → left stick:
Allows players to aim while selecting items (e.g. bolts)
Fixed controller settings colour issues
Improved settings text for readability
Better tooltip positioning when using a gamepad
Fixed tooltip overlap issue:
Tooltips now correctly update and no longer obscure menu text when navigating
📡 End of Transmission
Thank you to everyone who jumps in to put the next update through it's paces! With your help, we'll be getting it live for everyone much, much sooner.
