Hunters, The Phantom Update is now live!
This update brings a mix of new threats, new content and quality of life improvements to the Bunker and Zone. From a new roaming danger in the Swamp, to expanded storage systems that make your stash more organised and easier to manage, there's plenty to discover both in and out of raids.
Stay sharp! This update changes more than it seems...
New Boss: Phantom
Something is moving in the Swamp… and it doesn't stay still for long...
We've added a new roaming boss to put you even more on edge when trying to find and secure your loot. Not only that, but he's rocking a ghillie suit to make him just as much an unseen threat as he is a formidable enemy.
Should you track him down and come out of the battle victorious, you'll find coordinates on your map leading to his secret stash, which has some epic gear inside. Just make sure he doesn't find you first...
Added a new roaming boss to Swamp called Phantom.
Phantom actively patrols the map, similar to Arman, so you'll need to stay alert at all times.
Phantom is equipped with a unique loadout, including a Ghillie Suit armor designed for maximum concealment, and custom ghillie modifications for his N1o, enhancing stealth gameplay.
Once killed, Phantom drops Coordinates revealing a hidden chest location directly on your map.
New Containers
The long awaited Stash containers are finally here! And it's not just ammo that's getting the upgrade...
We saw your feedback and couldn't agree more that expanding the system beyond improving ammo storage was a must, so now you can also stack your scrap to your hearts content (as long as your hearts content is equal to or less than 99,999 per container...).
Containers cannot be taken into raids to keep them as a purely bunker-focused storage solution, but items stored inside containers still count towards quests, crafting and repairs, and they will be automatically consumed when used in these systems.
Added containers to support a variety of items, including: all types of ammo, Scrap Ammo, Scrap Armor, Scrap Food, Scrap Material, Scrap Meds, and Scrap Weapon.
Each container can hold up to 99,999 of a single item, allowing for large-scale resource management.
To craft a container, head to your Crafting Bench in the Bunker and select the new 'Containers' option.
For easier crafting, tick the "Track" option for the Container you want to craft. This helps you know how many materials you need when out in the field.
Bunker Radio
To help make the Bunker feel that little bit more homely, we've added an array of speakers throughout, along with a radio in the bar to control them.
To use the radio, you need to complete the new quest "Get Some Music" given by the Barman. This opens up a new area in Forest with a little surprise inside... Once complete, you can be the DJ in your own post-apocalyptic hellscape.
Music tracks are both found around the Zone and unlocked when completing specific quests. There's eight different tracks currently available with more coming in future updates.
Added a new quest "Get Some Music", given by the Barman after completing "Towards Makeshift Camp".
Completing this quest unlocks the brand new Bunker Radio feature.
Added a Bunker Radio and speakers which allow you to find and play music tracks in the Bunker.
Train Skins
Now you can choo-choo-choose your favorite skin for your favorite locomotive!
It was about time the train got some love. After all, it's what takes to your hunting grounds which leads to your success or your demise... Either way, now you can show your progress with a load of new visual unlocks, making your trip to the Zone that little bit more your own.
So you can enjoy the train skin goodness across all of your saves, skins are unlocked at the account level and not per save. Hunters who have already completed these requirements will instantly unlock all relevant skins.
Added a new train skin system, used by talking to the Conductor.
6 new train skins available, each tied to specific achievements and progression paths:
Green Army - Join the Green Army.
Crimson Corporation - Join the Crimson Corporation.
Scientist - Reach 450+ reputation.
Watcher - Complete the quest "The Crystal".
End Game - Finish the game with any ending.
Anomaly - Complete the game via the secret ending.
New Achievements
There's even more to chase in the Zone with 20 new achievements added in this update!
Whether you're a completionist hunting every last challenge or simply playing through the new content, keep an eye on your achievement list as you might be closer to unlocking something than you think.
New Daily Quests
The Networker has a new selection of tasks to give! Over 50 new mission objectives have been added to the Networker's pool of repeatable daily quests, giving you more variety and more reasons to head back into the Zone each day. Whether you're hunting specific targets, gathering resources, or pushing deeper into dangerous territory, there's always a fresh contract waiting
Bug Fixes & Quality of Life
Improved image quality - fixed pixel shimmering.
Fixed an issue where certain quest items would fail to spawn.
End of Transmission
So, The Phantom Update is here!
New threats roam the Zone. New systems help manage your gear. And the Bunker is now more homely than ever before.
Whether you're tracking Phantom through the Swamp, uncovering hidden stashes, fine-tuning your loadout, or simply bringing a bit of life back to your bunker with music, this update is about giving you more control, more clarity, and more ways to survive.
