How Do I Take Part in the Public Beta?
Every player who owns X4: Foundations has the opportunity to download the new 9.00 Public Beta version. In order to ensure that beta participants are aware of the risks and rules involved, we ask all interested players to visit our forum, where they will find the rules and disclaimers, as well as practical instructions for participating in the beta. - Added option to Mimic Commander's Behavior if commander is prospector (new feature in 9.00).
- Added Prospect assignment for station subordinates (new feature in 9.00).
- Added equipment details to Station Build menu.
- Added optional alternative WASD-style profile for keyboard and mouse.
- Removed irrelevant order parameters from Prospect behavior (new feature in 9.00).
- Improved player fleet commanders to request fleet replacements sooner and more reliably.
- Improved gamepad mode to attempt to select objects under crosshair before considering objects around it.
- Improved boost effect by adjusting intensity (new feature in 9.00).
- Improved engine glow of Terran capital ships by reducing intensity.
- Improved Astrid beam turrets to be less blinding.
- Fixed Dal not pointing out agents for hire if diplomacy initiated through budgeted custom game start.
- Fixed Covert Operations story not starting if Yaki story and HQ both set to completed in Custom Game Editor.
- Fixed faction cover issues with Geometric Owl during Terran Pests mission of Project Genesis story.
- Fixed Boron ships in The High Road mission not docking at Menelaus' Reminiscence when it moves through hazard.
- Fixed HOP and PAR ships remaining after factions have merged in Holy Three-Dimensionality mission of Paranid Schism story (problem introduced in 9.00).
- Fixed VIG scrap yard fence not relocating when scrap yard is moved.
- Fixed Find Resource mission sometimes pointing to incorrect location (problem introduced in 9.00).
- Fixed delivered ships in guild missions sometimes not being recognised as fully equipped.
- Fixed S/M ships not properly finishing attack order if target capital ship docks.
- Fixed Mimic subordinates leaving command hierarchies if immediate commander is destroyed.
- Fixed prospecting ships not moving if resource probe present in sector (new feature in 9.00).
- Fixed prospectors with full cargo holds thinking they cannot prospect (new feature in 9.00).
- Fixed prospectors not clearing earlier order failures related to default behavior after failure condition has been cleared (new feature in 9.00).
- Fixed prospecting missions completing when resource probe does not detect minimum yield rating (problem introduced in 9.00).
- Fixed docking bays being treated as free before undocking ship has disembarked.
- Fixed stations applying excessive damage when facing large numbers of enemies.
- Fixed Xenon station building taking excessively long time.
- Fixed module snapping during station building if initial placement was invalid (problem introduced in 9.00).
- Fixed incorrect missing resource warning when resupplying multiple ships at Resupply ships.
- Fixed Ship Build menu not working under certain circumstances.
- Fixed boarding and trade menus not working under certain circumstances (problem introduced in 9.00).
- Fixed map incorrectly showing scrap resources (problem introduced in 9.00).
- Fixed Custom Input Profile name changes not being abortable.
- Fixed certain combinations of input bindings for mouse wheel or for joystick axes not working correctly.
