The Worst Game Ever Patch Notes — January 4, 2021
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
After gathering substantial feedback from beta testers as well as friends, I've decided to improve the gameplay. After all, The Worst Game Ever is meant to be hard but it doesn't mean it needs to be unenjoyable.
Thus, I've decided to make Normal mode easier. I've improved the general level and adjusted/added platforms for easier travel. The significant "improvement" is that now, in Normal mode, rotating (gold) objects are being reset after each fall, thus making it easier to restart from the beginning.
I've also added a few grappling objects in the "Death Valley" (mid section of the game). You'll know what I mean once you get there. It'll help you pass the valley but you'll have to account your timing.
Finish line is still pretty tough to get to, but it's doable. Just remember using physics to your advantage.
Hardcore mode will remain hardcore and will be improved upon next couple updates. I just need more feedback to create a doable hardcore level, so please leave as much feedback as possible.
For the next couple of days I will be releasing a few patch updates to fix remain bugs and what not. Once the baseline is done, my plan is to begin working on multiplayer / co-op. I believe that would be an exciting update for everyone.
As always, thank you very much for giving this game a go. Good luck!
