1.0 Release Timeline
The Last Plague: Blight Patch Notes — May 19, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey everyone,
It's been so great to see all the support for the game as it continues to grow after the Early Access release. Been very busy prototyping and planning out the rest of the work needed for a solid 1.0 release version.
After mapping out the story elements, various features and content, I'm now targeting Q1 2027 for the 1.0 release!
The biggest goal for 1.0 is to make the Blight feel like something that can finally be properly confronted and resolved. The full release will add the late-game path toward ending the Blight, including expanded NPC survivor interactions, advanced clearing methods, and a proper conclusion to the current story arc.
Expect to see:
New late-game Blight clearing mechanics
Expanded survivor NPC interactions, requests, and trading
New ways for survivor camps to help with resource production
New world generation features and refinements
Many new items, crafting recipes, structures, and resources
New home-related objects like chairs, stoves, beds, roofing options, and more
Hostile survivors that do more than just stay glued to a stationary camp
Glassblowing and related crafting additions
A ton of other smaller improvements and content based on all the great suggestions everyone has made over the past while!
As with all previous updates released during Early Access I aim to make sure the 1.0 release still works and loads pre-1.0 saves properly, but the experience may not be as ideal as starting a fresh game. There may be some conversion and/or chunk refreshes required to get the full story working.
Here's a sneak peek at some new farmland generation near villages:

There's still a lot to build and test, but I wanted to share the current direction and give a clearer sense of where 1.0 is headed. Thanks for being part of the journey of The Last Plague!
