The Forever Winter Patch Notes — April 20, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey Scavs!
We’ve teamed up with Dark Horse to bring you The Art of The Forever Winter—a deeper look into the world behind the game. Weapons, rigs, machines, factions, and the systems that keep everything running long after meaning has collapsed. It's built as a record of the world as it exists: layered, broken, and still seething. Still grinding.
Alongside that, we’re launching Soundtrack Volume 2—expanding the soundscape of the world above and below. New transmissions pulled from the frontlines, the tunnels, and the dead air between. These tracks carry the weight of systems still running long after their meaning has been lost—industrial rhythms, fractured melodies, and the distant echo of something still moving.
This is not music for heroes.
In partnership with Dark Horse Books, The Art of The Forever Winter pulls back the curtain on a world that was never meant to be understood. This collection documents the visual language, machinery, and human fragments that define the setting—concept art, development insights, and the structures behind a war that continues without end. Scavengers, machines, and systems all persist here. The machines didn’t take everything. We’re excited to finally share more of what’s left. This one means a lot to us. Years of blood, sweat, and 3AM ink sketches with friends in a pho shop more than a decade ago. Thanks for being here—and for helping us build something that feels alive.
