TEAM PANIC — First Day Update and Feedback
Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you to everyone who played TEAM PANIC, tried the game, left a review, or shared feedback.
I carefully read the comments and criticism from the first day. I received feedback especially about FPS drops, performance issues, some parts of the game not being clear enough, level transitions, and several gameplay-related problems.
I am truly sorry for these issues.
TEAM PANIC was developed by me alone in a short amount of time. Since it is a two-player co-op story game, it was not possible for me to test every possible situation properly before release. Some problems only became clear after real players started playing the game.
Because of this, I prepared a comprehensive update based on the feedback received within the first 24 hours after release.
In this update, changes were mainly made in the following areas:
Performance and FPS Improvements
Several quick performance improvements were made in this update to reduce the current FPS problems and make the game more playable in the short term.
Unnecessary performance-heavy elements that could cause FPS drops were reduced, and some scenes were adjusted to feel more balanced. To provide a smoother experience, the visual quality was slightly reduced and the graphics settings were reorganized.
An FPS limit system was also added, allowing players to have more control over performance.
However, I want to be clear that this is not the main FPS optimization update. The changes in this update are mainly intended to slightly improve the current FPS issues and make the game more stable while I continue working on a deeper optimization update.
The main FPS optimization update, focused on both GPU and CPU performance, is planned to be released in about 2 days. This upcoming update will include more detailed FPS, stability, and performance improvements.
About the Trailer and Store Images
Due to the performance improvements, some changes were made to the in-game graphics settings. Because of this, the visuals shown in the trailer and some store images may not look exactly the same as the current in-game version.
I want to be transparent about this. The trailer and store images will be updated to match the current version of the game.
Clearer Gameplay Guidance
There were some parts where players had difficulty understanding what to do next. Because of this, in-game guidance has been improved, and some objective notifications have been adjusted to appear at more appropriate times.
The places players need to go, the items they need to find, and the tasks they need to complete should now be easier to understand.
Gameplay and Interaction Fixes
Issues related to some doors, objective objects, parkour areas, and interaction points have been fixed. Some places where players need to progress or interact with the correct object have been made easier to use.
Several issues in parkour areas, including getting stuck, incorrect guidance, and small gameplay problems, have also been adjusted.
Level Transitions and Co-op Fixes
Some issues players experienced during level transitions were checked. The transition systems and objective flow have been adjusted so both players can progress properly in co-op gameplay.
Problems such as players remaining in the wrong place during some scenes, objectives not progressing correctly, or notifications appearing at the wrong time have been fixed.
Escape Menu Improvement
A new “Return to Lobby” button has been added to the Escape menu.
Previously, there was no direct button to return to the lobby from the in-game Escape menu. With this update, players can now return to the lobby more easily during gameplay.
About Pricing
I also received feedback about the price of the game. After considering this feedback, I reduced the price of TEAM PANIC by 60%.
My goal is to make the game more accessible and allow more players to experience TEAM PANIC.
New Game Mode
I have also started working on a different game mode inside TEAM PANIC.
This new mode is planned to be released in about 1.5 weeks. I want to give players a different way to experience the game and add more replay value alongside the main story.
More details about this mode will be shared soon.
General Improvements
Throughout the game, many smaller issues related to missing guidance, camera behavior, sound triggers, objective flow, Escape menu usability, and scene setup have been improved.
My goal is to make TEAM PANIC a clearer, more stable, and more enjoyable experience.
I understand that the game may not have delivered the experience I wanted for some players at launch. I am aware of this, and I am truly sorry.
I am reading every comment and will continue improving the game. Thanks to your feedback, I can notice and fix problems much faster.
Thank you to everyone who played TEAM PANIC, supported the game, and shared their criticism.
I will continue improving the game.
