A new version of Stormbound is coming in December, bringing Christmas event, Ranked Mode tweaks, and balance changes.
Christmas Event
The Chirstmas Event is coming to Stormbound, scheduled to run from December 23rd to December 30th, 2024 (8 AM CET). Embrace the holiday spirit with our special Christmas gift, exclusive bonuses, and more!
Christmas Redeem Code
To spread joy to all Stormbounders, we're gifting everyone 200 coins. To grab the Christmas present, just redeem a special code, which is valid from December 23rd to December 30th, 2024 (8 AM CET).
Enter your Player ID in the Player ID field (you can find your Player ID in the in-game settings and copy it from there).
Click the Redeem Code button.

More Coins
During the event, all coin gains and the coin cap will be doubled, except for quests. The daily coin cap will be set at 1,000 coins for free-to-play players, and 2,000 coins for players with a premium pass.

All books, except for the Noble Book, will contain one more card for the duration of the whole event in store, starting from December 23rd to December 30th, 2024, 8:00 AM CET.
Christmas Brawl
As part of our joyous Christmas Event, we're bringing back the Snowball Battle Brawl.
At the beginning of the battle, a Snowman is randomly spawned on the second row for each player. Friendly and enemy Snowmen are placed in the same tile from the player’s perspective (so they’re never face to face). For instance, on the 3rd tile from the left for each player.
The structure has 10/15/20 strength depending on the Brawl difficulty, does not come back once destroyed and does not impact the frontline.
The following Brawls will be festive:
Casual Brawl (Starting on December 26th)
Warrior Brawl (Starting on January 2nd)
Ultimate Brawl (Starting on January 9th)
Players can get a special Christmas avatar (in the 6th milestone) in each Brawl difficulty.
Finally, Brawl starting on December 26th will be available at 50% off, and if you own the Premium Pass, your usual discount will stack for a total of 60% off.

Winter Offers Like most events, there will be two special offers with cool winter avatars.
These special shop offers are now available to be purchased 3 times each, while only the first one with the Avatar, and the rest with the standard content, excluding the Avatar (because players will already own the exclusive Avatar after buying the offer for the first time).
Ranked Mode
This update also introduces tweaks and changes to Ranked Mode, including the addition of a Friends Leaderboard.
Friends Leaderboard
We’re introducing the Friends Leaderboard, a new feature that adds a fun, competitive element to the game.
Friends Leaderboard
This leaderboard shows your friends’ positions in each league, allowing you to track progress, celebrate victories, and challenge each other to climb higher. It’s the perfect way to connect and share the joy of competition.
Ranked Mode Changes
We’re introducing a small change to how you can unlock playing in a lower league: it will now cost 1 Ticket Card.
But why are we making this change? Our recent rework of Ranked Mode, known as Ranked 3.0, brought significant improvements to gameplay but also had an unintended impact on the game’s economy. To address this and ensure a healthy and sustainable economy balance, we are introducing a small tweak.
Players will still be able to compete in any unlocked league below their current top rank and claim rewards (e.g., in Diamond if they’ve already advanced to HL this season). However, unlocking a lower league within the same season will now require spending 1 Ticket Card.
We understand this change may feel unexpected, but it’s a necessary step to protect the game’s long-term economy balance. Our development team carefully considered this adjustment, prioritizing the overall fairness and enjoyment of Ranked Mode.

Moreover, every Ruby bundle will yield double the original number of rubies. This is not time-bound, and effectively lasts forever until every bundle has been bought once.
Black Friday Offers

Balance changes
This release, just like any other, will bring some balance changes.
Icicle Burst's mana cost increased to 2 (from 1).
Moment’s Peace's mana cost reduced to 4 (from 5), and its strength is now 3/4/5/6/7 (adjusted from 5/6/7/8/9).
Absorbing Varmints' ability adjusted to: "Before moving, make friendly Ancients and Rodents pull enemy units from behind. Then deal 4/5/5/6/6 damage to enemy units right behind them," instead of dealing damage to pulled units.
Moonlit Aerie's strength is now 4/5/5/6/7 (up from 3/4/4/5/6).
Venomfall Spire's ability made to poison 1/1/2/3/4 units (up from 1/1/2/2/3).
Obliterators' strength is now 6/7/8/9/10 (up from 5/6/7/8/9).
Salty Outcasts' strength is now 7/8/9/10/12 (up from 6/7/8/9/11).
