STARR RINGER News — November 6, 2022
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hello, everyone!
It's been a little bit since my last update, And that's because I've been swamped the past couple weeks and haven't had a lot of time to work on the game. But I'd like to try and keep you all updated on what's happening and how far along the next update is.
Here's a breakdown of what's in the works.
------
> Difficulty Leaderboards
Each difficulty is getting it's own leaderboard. When the new boss patch is released, I'll be clearing the current leaderboards and splitting them into their individual difficulties.
> New Enemies
I've been working on a few new enemies to add new variation during gameplay.
With 3 enemies, there's only so much you can do.
> Customizable Player Portraits
Player Portraits are almost ready to mark off the list for the time being, with 6 different sets of faces that can be mixed and matched, it'll give a lot of variation as it stands for now.
I plan to add more options for customization as the game gets closer to completion.
> Trilo Baro (Fist Boss)
2 of the 3 fazes for the Trilo Baro boss encounter are nearly complete. When the health meter for the boss is empty, it will trigger the next faze and be refilled with it's new amount of HP. This is to help players know just how far through each faze they are.
> New Music
There are some new music tracks being added to the game, one will replace the currently existing placeholder track during gameplay and a couple others for on the title screen and during the encounter with the boss.
> Revamped intro
The short intro sequence before the title screen is being reworked to align with the musical beats, and will also include more visual imagery and lore.
------
As you can see, this next update is a much bigger content update than the previous updates, and will still take a bit more time to complete because of that.
I'm going to start doing weekly updates to help keep you all updated on what's going down, and to help keep myself from losing track of my own update content. Possibly focus more on individual parts to help myself complete updates much faster.
Anyway.
Thank you all so much for the continued support. I really appreciate it.
I'll catch you all in the next update!
