Satisfactory Modeler Patch Notes — January 4, 2025
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
You can now build storage containers. You can set the icon to regular, industrial, fluid buffer, or industrial fluid buffer.
You can also set the fullness of the container.
A full container can allow unlimited output, but the input cannot be greater than the output.
An empty container can allow unlimited input, but the output cannot be greater than the input.
A partially full container can allow unlimited input or output.
Input = Output locks the two to always being equal.
This can also give improvements in calculations. When using partially full, the inputs and outputs are unlimited so they do not depend on each other. This allows them to be calculated completely independently if there are no other connections linking them. A full container means the inputs don't effect the outputs, so there could be improved calculations there. An empty container means the outputs don't effect the inputs, so there could also be improved calculations there.
Also added dimensional depots. You can set the upload rate for them, or just use them in parts per minute mode.
Dimensional depots can be toggled on in the Summary's Output section as can Storage Containers that are taking extra parts. Storage Containers that are giving extra parts can be toggled on in the Input section.
Defaults values for Storage Containers and Dimensional Depots can be changed in the settings menu, with an optional button to apply any new settings to various groups of already placed machines.
