Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hi! Happy Halloween!! 👻 🎃

It’s been almost 2 years since Remnant Records was released. To celebrate, we’re offering a big discount until November 3rd!
We also wanted to take this opportunity to say hi to the community that helped us dive into the wonderful world of indie game development and to quickly look back at the story of Remnant Records.
Heya! I'm Émilie, but you may know me as EraKles. I'm the main dev of Remnant Records. I've been making video games as a hobby since I was 10 or something, and Remnant Records is my first commercial release.
When I was a kid, I used to spend hours playing Amnesia with my best friend, and we'd have a blast screaming our hearts out. That's how I discovered the horror genre, and that's why, to me, it was always a cooperative experience. Many years passed, and Phasmophobia released. We had a lot of fun playing it with friends, but we wanted more. It was 2021, I'd just got my master's degree, and I decided to jump in; I started working alone on Remnant Records.
Hi! I'm Théo. Émilie and I met in 2018 during a Super Smash Bros Ultimate tournament, and bonded over our love of video games (and many other things). I joined the development of Remnant Records soon after the Early Access release, in 2022, and together we founded Noctiluca Studio. It was my first time participating in a game development project, but I was passionate and learned a lot very quickly. I deal with finances, marketing, communication, and everything you can think of that's not directly related to development. I also help with game design.
Remnant Records, under its original name Project: Ritual, was created with the goal of being a cooperative horror game unlike others in the genre at the time.
First, by being centered on players: by giving them the possibility to choose their gameplay style, with different roles each with perks and skins to customize them, and with plenty of difficulty options and modifiers to make the game their own.
Second, by being centered on the ghosts: each with their own appearance, personality, and complex and varied behaviors, forcing players to really understand way of thinking in order to survive, and figure out their story to win.
A few months later, Remnant Records was born.
In July 2022, the Early Access was released.
In January 2024, the final version came out.
The game features 4 roles, 6 maps, 6 ghosts, 14 special conditions, 17 perks, 19 skins, and 123 story elements that together form an infinity of stories.
It's available in English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese, thanks to our six wonderful translators.
By the end of 2025, Remnant Records had reached:
58.000+ Steam sales
A Humble Choice bundle bringing 270.000+ new players
Over 400 Very Positive reviews on Steam
That’s crazy, and today still, we find it unbelievable.
What an adventure.
Our biggest thanks to all of you ❤️
Today, as you know, we’re working on a new game, and you’ll hear more about it very soon.
We can’t wait to show it to you, but for now it's too early.
Until then, we wish you good health, plenty of chills, and a Happy Halloween! 🎃
