Red Eclipse Minor Release – Changelog (May–July 2025)
Engine & Codebase: Switched to C++17 standard. Major code cleanups, refactoring, and improved instructions. Improved error handling, input validation, and performance optimizations. Enhanced engine containers and entity systems. Rendering & Visuals: Tesseract renderer improvements: better DOF, visor, and glass buffer effects. Improved fire/smoke shader performance and new composite effects. Reduced visual artifacts and improved focus controls. New and updated models, including the janitor.
