Prison Simulator Optimization Update
Prison Simulator Patch Notes — May 19, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey everyone,
We’ve just released a small but important optimization update for Prison Simulator.
This patch is mainly focused on improving overall performance and making the game more accessible on a wider range of hardware.

The biggest change is a noticeable reduction in system requirements. We’ve worked on lowering both RAM and CPU usage, which should result in smoother gameplay, especially on older or weaker PCs. You should see fewer slowdowns during heavier moments in the game, as well as improved general stability.
We’ve also put a lot of attention into handheld performance, particularly on Steam Deck. The game should now run more consistently there, with better frame pacing and fewer performance spikes, making the experience more comfortable when playing on the go.
On top of that, we’ve made several smaller internal fixes.
While these changes might not be immediately visible, they should contribute to a more stable and responsive experience overall.
As always, thank you for your patience, feedback, and for playing Prison Simulator.
We’re always working on improving the game, and your support means a lot to us!!
