Order of War™ News — June 12, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Following our recent update adding Steam Cloud support for Order of War, we were contacted by a member of the original development team regarding an issue with “out of memory” crashes on more modern operating systems.
We’re pleased to share that we’ve worked with them to develop a potential fix for this issue. To ensure a smooth rollout, this fix has been made available via an open Beta Branch, meaning users must manually opt in to access the updated version.
If you would like to opt into the Beta Branch, please do so via the Steam Client:
· Right-click Order of War in your library and select Properties
· Navigate to Game Versions & Betas
· Select the “memory_fix” option
The update will then be applied to your installation.
This fix has been tested with existing save data and is expected to be compatible. However, we cannot guarantee it will behave perfectly in all cases, which is why it is currently offered as an optional (opt-in) update rather than being rolled out to all users.
