OPERATOR Patch Notes — December 17, 2025

OPERATOR V008 is almost here!
Today we will showcase some of the new features and content coming in the major update. This updates focus was on delivering brand new content with brand new features, polish and bug fixing to the main gameplay loop. While it has taken longer than we hoped, we're certain all of you will enjoy this new update. Release date will be revealed later in this post!
NEW MAPS
Over the course of this updates development we have worked on many maps. Ranging from small to large, managing and optimising all of these new maps has been a bigger challenge than anticipated. So for the first V008 update we will be releasing 3 new PvE maps!
In Q1 2026, we will be releasing V0081 with the other 3 PvE maps we have been working on.
Kabul Streets (day and night available)
Kabul Streets is our most detailed map to date. Fight in a dense environment with plently of CQB and Urban combat. This map spawns 40-60 AI with DSHKs, IEDs and a very dangerous HVT which you are tasked to elimate.



Armenia (day and night available)
The objective on Armenia is a brand new gamemode called Asset Destroy. In Asset Destroy you must find and destroy the objectives in order to complete the operation. On this operation, you must destroy 2 SAM launchers and the container holding the ammunition.



Sinola, Mexico (day and night available)
Find the connections between this inconspicuous warehouse in Sinola and the Mexican cartels. You'll probably find nothing, I mean... theres nothing sospechoso about this place...



NEW BRIEFING ROOM ADDITIONS.
We have added a brand new whiteboard and a touch screen you can interact with. The screen acts like the laptop and the whiteboard is able to be drawn on. The laptop has been perfectly synced across players so you can hold a pre mission briefing or just mess around and draw on the white board with your fellow operators. You can also project the screen onto the whiteboard by pressing the UI button in the bottom left corner.
ENVIRONMENT CHANGES
New door sound effects and locked state
We have added brand new tactile sound effects for the wooden and metal doors. These include interaction with the handle and agressive moves like breaching and hitting the door.
NEW WEAPONS AND GEAR
In V008 there are 4 new weapons; MG338, M320 Grenade Launcher, Slap Breaching Charge and the P320/M17. There has also been an update to the USP45 overhauling its model, textures and animation.
Slap Charge
The long awaited and heavily requested breaching charge is finally in OPERATOR! Additionally as seen in the video you can now under hand throw grenades by right clicking.
MG338
The bigger brother of the M250, the MG338 comes chambered in .338 NORMA MAGNUM. Known as a Medium Machine Gun the MG338 packs a punch both towards the enemy and towards yourself.
M320
The first grenade launcher in OPERATOR. Comes with 8 spare 40mm rounds and can be a very effective tool on the battlefield.

USP Overhaul
We have remastered the USP model and animations as well as adding more variants such as the USP 45 Tactical! You can now mount a light, RMR and suppressor with FDE variants of the frame, slide and magazine


OVERHAULED SCOPE EFFECT
In v008, we have remade from the ground up the magnified optics. They are now clearer, more tactile and more realistic than ever. Using a mathematically correct shader, we now use real world data from manufacturers. Each scope now accurately simulates its real world equivalent. OPERATOR now has the most realistic scope rendering effect in any game.
ADJUSTABLE EYE POSITION
We have added a new feature to the weapon modding where you can move your eye position to your liking! Adjusting your stock position now also effects the eye position. This can help you quickly set up your perfect eye relief for your weapon. This also saves with your presets.
AI Improvements
We have made several improvements to the AI for v008. These consist of the AI now being able to open doors, dynamically take cover, evasion when under fire, better suppression and better inaccuracy.
Door opening
A long requested feature, AI can finally now open doors. Depending on the different enemy types, the AI will either open the door normally or breach it by kicking the door down. They dont always open doors, it depends on many factors and not all of them will follow each other through doors. This prevents all of the AI rushing you straight away and keeps the flow of maps intact.
We plan on doing a major AI overhaul and refactor for v009 later on in 2026, this will focus on better AI logic, optimisation, adding more behaviours and tactics.
GUNFIGHT SFX IMPROVEMENTS AND AI SUPPRESSION
We have sampled and improved the bullet crack sfx and added new richochet sfx. We made different bullet cracks sfx play depending on distance, caliber and velocity with 556 sounding snappier and 762 sounding deeper. This also includes sub sonics with sub sonics having its own bullet flyby sfx.
AIMING AND SUPPRESSION
We have removed the RNG based accuracy for AI. Before the AI had unrealistic bullet spread which made it look random and uninteresting.
Instead in V008, we have the AI physically aim towards the player allowing itself to miss. This allows much more directionalised spray of bullets which enhances gunfights and allows the bullet cracks to be heard much more frequently.
Additionally, after frequent requests from the community we have drastically reduced the sensitivity penalty of suppression to the point where its bascially removed.
RAGDOLL IMPROVEMENTS
We have done a small but important change to ragdolls in v008. Ragdolls now maintain their velocity from when they were still alive and moving. This small change enhances the ragdolls and makes them feel even better.
NEW GAMEMODE: WAVE SURVIVAL
Now in the simulation tab, you can now play classic wave survival.
With no resupply you have to survive 20 rounds of increasingly difficult enemies using the gear you start with. While only available on Clean House, we will be adding more maps to the gamemode in later updates.
NEW SPATTER VFX
We have improved the blood and spatter vfx making them more realistic and gritty. We have also added blood pools that slowly appear once the target has been shot, the pool will originate from the wound.



ATAK IMPROVEMENT
We have changed the ATAK marker for yourself to be an arrow to show your direction in the world. This was a requested feature from the community and now its here!

NEW MEDICAL SYSTEM AND UI
We have overhauled the medical system and this is the 1st iteration of that new system.
This new system allows for heavy bleeds, light bleeds, fractures, pain and heartrate.
Right now the system is simple;
Bandage stops light bleed
Hemostatic applicator stops heavy bleeds
Tourniquet prevents bleeds and deals a small amount of damage every couple of seconds. (removeable)
Splints fix fractures
Morphine relieves pain.
In case you forget mid battle, there are helpful tooltips if you hover over the icons.
How to use? Its a simple drag and drop system, you press Tab (or your keybind of choice) and drag the medical item over your limb. After that it will start a timer and once it finished the medical item is applied.
Whats missing from the 1st iteration of this new system? Other than animations, We are currently missing several medical items and the ability to drop your meds. Other stats like Blood, Weight, Energy and Hydration will come with a later iteration of the system.









VOIP IMPROVEMENTS
We have replaced our old voip solution with meta voice! This new solution has been tested and works perfectly without delay! We have also made small immersion tweaks such as making the radio voip only play in your right ear.
NEW POST FX SETTINGS
We have fixed and improved motion blur (try it out) added film grain and added depth of field for aiming.
These post fx can help with immersion and is worth the try. You will find these new options in the video settings.
BUG FIXES AND POLISHING
We have fixed many bugs related to multiplayer and weapon states. We have fixed bugs related to weapon switching such as the back breaking bug and not being able to use a dropped weapon from another player and many more.
We have also polished and fix 99% of ADS bugs, no more random snapping or floating away from the gun. This significantly improves the feel of the gunplay.
DOOR IMPROVEMENTS
We have improved the general feel of the door handling, allowing more smooth and controlled motion and better breaching making the door less likely to get stuck in the door way when breaching using a breaching tool or kicking.
UNLOCKABLES
You can now unlock cosmetics by earning achievements and completing operations.

END SCREEN
In V008, you can now see the after action report when you return to the armory.
This shows you your rating with stats from the mission such as:
Raid Time
Secured Intel
Kills
Alive Operators
Who killed HVT
Who got most kills
Who secured most intel.

This also includes personal bests so you can compete with yourself and others to get the best times and stats.
