Major Update #13 introduces the new RAID game mode, delivers a fully revamped and expanded Brightpoint Hospital, adds major AI upgrades, expands Homebase utilities, and includes large optimization + audio improvements.
Introducing RAID — A Brand-New Game Mode in Operation Athena

We’re excited to reveal RAID, a completely new and exclusive game mode built specifically for Operation Athena. This mode has not been publicly tested yet. Players will experience it for the first time when it goes live.
RAID is a mission-first extraction mode built around mandatory objectives.
Squads deploy into hostile locations to locate, secure, and extract physical crates. These crates must be found, carried, and successfully extracted to complete the mission.
Intel plays a central role. Collecting Intel reveals active crate locations for a short time, allowing squads to plan routes and decide when to move. When a crate is carried toward extraction, a reinforcement team deploys to intercept the squad and prevent the crate from reaching the extraction zone.
RAID grades squads on objective completion, survival, and execution, rewarding coordination and smart decision-making over kill count as the mission tightens around you.
RAID is only available in Operation Athena.
Plan carefully — every move matters when the objective fights back.
RAID Crates (Primary Objective)
Only a limited number of crates are active per mission
Active crates must be located, picked up, and physically carried
Crates must be delivered to a marked flare extraction zone to complete the mission
Intel (RAID Objective Support)
Intel assets spawn during RAID missions
Intel temporarily reveals active crate locations
Intel adds a risk/reward layer to exploration and route planning
Reinforcement Response
Carrying a crate toward extraction triggers an enemy reinforcement response
A reinforcement team deploys to intercept and stop the carrier before extraction
INTEL SYSTEM (ALL MODES)
Intel is now available across all maps and modes as a side objective.
Intel spawns during missions outside of RAID
Intel pickups provide UI feedback and contribute to mission grade, score, and XP progression
BRIGHTPOINT HOSPITAL RETURNS
Brightpoint Hospital has been fully overhauled with a major expansion and a full visual + gameplay pass.
Expanded playable space and reworked mission routes
New art/detail upgrades (murals, signage, updated visuals)
Improved combat flow, sightlines, and navigation throughout the hospital
AI UPDATES
Major upgrades to AI perception, hearing, and reinforcement behavior.

Updated AI sight tuning
Improved “peeking” and corner behavior
Added reinforcement seek + engagement logic
AI Hearing Overhaul
Awareness-based hearing reactions
Improved sound propagation (distance, elevation, obstacles)
Improved performance during large firefights
HOMEBASE UPDATES
Expanded Homebase with a new grenade/flash testing area and resupply crates
Added an infinite ammo box for training/testing
Updated the killhouse course with interactive metal targets that drop when shot
Refreshed the Mission Board UI with improved presentation + map lore descriptions
Added new voiced NPC, “Humvee man” as a experiment
Added drinkable beer in Homebase
Added additional ambient and interaction sound design throughout Homebase
WEAPONS / AUDIO / FEEL
Updated MP5 with a new improved rail mesh
Added a new shell casing audio system (enhanced weapon sound detail)
Improved hit impact feedback and weapon sound design
Added a Suppressed variant of the SR-25
MAP UPDATES + OPTIMIZATION
Large-scale optimization pass across the game for improved performance and stability
Significant cleanup and polish across multiple maps
General improvements to lighting, materials, assets, and navigation flow
