Better late than never:
EGS login is now needed for Co-op only.
We understand the frustration of players regarding linking Noch with EGS. Throughout development we've tried to make login as simple as possible, and the current solution is the least of the evils we've chosen.
-Now you don't need to login to EGS to play single-player game
-No Epic Games Launcher or Epic Games Services is required for both co-op and single-player
-If you want to play with a friend, you both need to select "Play Co-op" option in the main menu and login to your EGS account via browser
-For co-op play you will only need to login to your EGS account once
-You don't need to login to your EGS account again if you have already done so
Q: Why do I need to login to EGS?
A: The fact that the EGS network is supported at all marketplaces makes cross-play possible for players from different stores
Q: Why was EGS login required for everyone before this update?
A: We were experiencing problems integrating the EGS network into the game. Logging to EGS for everyone was the most reliable solution to avoid login problems for most players. It was also assumed that most players would play in co-op mode. Now that we see that this is not the case, we recognize and correct our mistakes
Character getting stuck
There is now a "Respawn" option in the pause menu.
The Respawn feature solves most of the problems with a character getting stuck without loading with a checkpoint
Many other bugs have also been fixed in the patch, including:
-Localization bugs
-Found collision issues
-Problems with optimization of some scenes
-Other serious bugs in the game
Other news: Noch Soundtrack coming soon
Many players like Noch's music and we plan to publish the game soundtrack early next week
