Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Greetings, Necromancers…
We hope you’ve all been enjoying your time with Never Mourn since the March update went live; please do continue to provide your feedback (and your Steam reviews!) as we get ever closer to version 1.0.
Today, we wanted to draw your attention beyond the great veil, towards some of the environments in Never Mourn that you can explore and overcome…

Once a hardworking fishing village set among a beautifully bleak, black sanded shoreline, Morn Jaero is now ferociously ablaze. Constructed close to the ruins of a great aqueduct and a once formidable fortress that’s long since sat hollow and haunted by the tortured souls of the past, Morn Jaero was home to the most resilient of people. Despite scratching a living with their fishing and algae cultivation, they too were targeted by the raids that tore the region asunder. These attacks ended in a bloody and nightmarish massacre of the village folk… and the razing to the ground of their meagre homes.
After her forced retirement following the Starveling invasion, Archdruid Yenna and her burgeoning followers sought peaceful sanctuary among the highest peaks in the land. It was there they founded the Hrast Vikan Monastery, the foundation for the Tree of Life’s church. What remains of the druid's first bastion is now an empty ruin, a grim silhouette on the jagged peaks reminding that the world is facing dark times again.
The woods and glades of Stravek’s Forest virtually hum with an ominous ambience. As an ancient woodland that helped breathe life into the land, perhaps it isn’t a surprise that it was also the site of a temple that venerated the primeval guardians of the natural world. But questions remain about what now treads the undergrowth, stalking whatever—or whomever—dares enter…
It’s hard to imagine the incredible vistas and colorful plains that once stretched out to the horizon, but such sights are no longer to be found in what’s become known as The Great Beyond. Now wrought and disfigured with the magical scars of the war that nearly shattered the very fabric of the world apart, during these days of darkness this land is populated by strange and twisted life.
There is no place like The End, and nor should there be. It isn’t safe to dwell here for long… even for the most powerful of magic users.
