MOLEK-SYNTEZ Patch Notes — November 7, 2019
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Today's update includes the following:
- Changed bond-breaking priority so that rotating your solution will less frequently change its behavior. This will probably break any solutions you have that relied on ambiguous bonding or unbonding resolving in a particular way.
- Changed the trash and output instructions so that they happen after the movement and hydrogen manipulation instructions. This fixes some simulation oddities ("disappearing" hydrogen) and hopefully adds a little more optimization depth. This will also probably break some solutions.
- Reset histograms and leaderboards because of the above gameplay changes.
- Added tutorial text to the second puzzle better explaining that you can move and rotate precursors and emitters.
- Added hotkey support to the solution list (arrows, enter, Ctrl+N, Ctrl-C, F2 / Ctrl-R, delete).
- Added support for right-clicking to cancel playback and exit some screens.
- Removed the solution rotation button, as it sometimes breaks solutions. You can access the old behavior by pressing the F10 key. This is a deliberate attempt to hide the feature.
- Fixed a bug where dropping a new instruction in an invalid location would instead drop it in the top-left corner of the program grid.
- Fixed a bug where you could not clone single instructions when picking them up.
- Fixed a crash when clicking on instructions while dragging parts.
- Fixed a bug where emitter beams would flicker between outputs leaving and inputs spawning, which looked particularly bad in exported GIFs.
- Fixed a bug where some characters wouldn't show up correctly in solution names.
