Malus Patch Notes — November 24, 2020

CHANGELOG
- Added a new death mechanic, evertime your character dies, his corpse turns into a ghoul, when you revisit the location, you will have to fight the ghoul,
so if you die 5 times, there will be 5 ghouls spawned in that area. The only way to get rid of ghouls is to kill it (If you dont kill it, the ghouls will persist throughout all of your saves)
The strength and speed of the ghouls also scales with the player's level
VISUAL CHANGES
- Blocking now has a slight particle effect when activated, to make it more obvious visually whether or not player is blocking
- Changed the particle effect for weapon hit effects. Each weapon element will now have different hit effect (depending on the most dominant element,same with enemies)
- Changed blood splash particle, hitting enemies are now more bloody and gory, you can see chunks off meat scattering on the ground :D
- Different enemies now will have different blood type (insects have green, humanoids have red, etc)
- Modified the sound effects for slashing, blunt and piercing to be more gory
- Added a slight camera shake for basic attacks
- Tweaked the lighting and fog to be more atmospheric
BUGFIXES
- Fixed material count calculations for crafting items of a higher tier
- Fixed salvaging items sometimes giving x99 materials instead of the displayed amount
- Fixed Load Window stays on screen if you click Load Game and then New Game in Main Menu
- Fixed collision errors on stairs for certain buildings
- Slight adjustment to ranged weapon targeting distance
- Fixed character stoping suddenly everytime you click on a resource object or campfire
- Potions now heal player based on percentage (1 health potion is about 60% player health)
- Fixed Stranger droping multiple quest item
- Changed Day/Night Cycle speed from 15min/15min to 1h/1h
- Slightly increase the light radius of player equiped lamps
- Reduce slightly the distance at which mage projectiles can travel
ADDITIONS
- Added display of calculated player damage next to weapon damage in the weapon details panel
- Added a continuation quest for "Investigate the Swamp" quest
- Added new enemies (Venom arachnids, Forest Giant, Frost Giant, Centaur Bandits)
- Added new areas (Giant's Forest and Mount Vala, still WIP)
- Basic Attack can now cancel blocking thus allowing for smoother transitions from blocking to attacking
- New Save Default names will now go up incrementally depending on the number of saves you have (Save0, Save1, Save2, Save3, etc)
- An Autosave file will now be available to load back to everytime you enter and exit a dungeon, this savefile will overwrite itself, and only 1 is available
- Implement drowning system if player is submerged fully in water (no animation yet)
- Added unstuck button (default to U)
