Madrid Noir Patch Notes — November 19, 2021
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hello VR storytelling fans!
We are so excited to bring Madrid Noir to Steam! Madrid Noir is an animation from the heart. The brainchild of director James Castillo (Character designer of Mitchells vs. The Machines, Sherlock Gnomes), Madrid Noir is an immersive VR narrative featuring light interactive moments. It is an experience that might be one of the first of its kind: an homage to film noir and Madrid in animated VR.

The story shifts across time periods, with easter eggs about Madrid culture woven throughout. Building up to our release (and then a little after), we will be sharing with you a little bit of what went into the making of this project, starting with the writing of the story.

Check out this first video with interviews of the director, producers (No Ghost, Atlas V), and writers and find out more about the origin of the story. This is a behind the scenes look at the richness of the characters and a first look at the team behind the experience.

In the next few weeks, we will be sharing more videos, which altogether amount to a video series that will give you an insight into VR filmmaking - the long, exciting, and ever-evolving journey of bringing an idea to life in virtual reality!
Let us know your thoughts! We love to hear from you.
Warmth,
The Madrid Noir Team
