The following is a list of patch notes and bug fixes for Kristala Version 1.0.16

Patch Update – Traversal Improvements, UI Fixes, and Performance Optimizations Now Live (v1.0.16)
This update introduces additional gameplay, traversal, UI, and performance improvements focused on movement responsiveness, combat behavior, menu reliability, and overall gameplay stability. It also includes fixes for enemy abilities, progression skips, boss encounter behavior, and continued optimization work aimed at reducing stuttering and improving performance across the experience.
Gameplay, Combat & Traversal Improvements
Increased four-legged sprint speed
Added completely new animations for the wall run
Improved camera behavior while crouching and during four-legged sprinting
Fixed an issue where poison sprayed by the Kota Poisoner would not properly disappear
Fixed an issue where Kota Freezers could fire attacks from unintended distances
Fixed an issue where certain enemy abilities could become stuck on screen
Fixed an issue where the effects Burden of Years and Burden of Knowledge would not trigger at the correct time
Fixed an issue where the Critical Damage Rune was not functioning correctly
Boss Encounter Improvements
Fixed an issue where Sephael could become temporarily staggered if a damage-over-time effect was applied before death
Accessibility & Cutscene Improvements
Fixed an issue where the player could end a cutscene facing an incorrect direction
UI, Menu & Input Improvements
Fixed an issue where players could be unable to select items in the Equipment or Inventory grid with the mouse while scrolling was enabled
Fixed an issue in the Main Menu where the screen could become black if players entered and exited a submenu too quickly
Fixed an issue in the Buy Shop menu where the Buy prompt could remain permanently stuck on screen
Fixed an issue in the Controls Remap menu where inputs already assigned to another action would not properly update
Fixed an issue in the Controls Remap menu where certain inputs could ignore remapping and instead navigate submenu options
Performance Improvements
Shader compilation now occurs during game startup to help reduce gameplay stuttering
Added performance optimizations to the Byaslag Arena
World & Environment Fixes
Fixed several minor issues in Nisar
Fixed a shortcut in Tandar that could allow players to skip a large section of progression
Fixed an issue where Morda’s NPC marker could appear incorrectly
