Crossplay, Social Launcher & Multiplayer Fixes
KeepUp Survival Patch Notes — May 8, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hello Community,
I have just released a new update for the game.
Multiplayer Crossplay
As announced, Crossplay has now been introduced. This now allows players to play together across different platforms, for example between Steam and Epic Games.
In addition, regional restrictions for the server browser have been removed. This means you can now also join servers that are located further away from your region.
Please note that this may affect connection quality. The greater the distance to the server, the higher the ping may become.
Social Launcher
Like in my other games, KeepUp Survival has now received a small Social Launcher. This will allow you to add friends across different platforms in the future.
Additionally, inviting and joining friends has been significantly improved, making multiplayer sessions easier and more stable.
Using the launcher, you can invite friends via code, regardless of which platform they are playing on. This system works independently from Steam or Epic Games.
Friends lists on Steam or Epic will continue to work as usual. Every player remains on their own platform - no additional accounts or registrations are required.

Multiplayer Client Fix
Additional improvements have been made to client spawning. In multiplayer, players occasionally experienced issues where weapons or tools could not be equipped properly.
An update addressing this issue had already been released some time ago, however it turned out that a timing-related problem was still causing these issues.
From now on, client spawning and synchronization should work much more reliably. An additional synchronization process is now triggered to ensure that the connection between client and host functions correctly and that everything loads properly.
Info: The issue is still being investigated. The current fix already works very reliably, however I will continue monitoring this client-related problem. Please let me know if any further issues occur.
Main Menu
Additionally, I removed the previous Server Browser and replaced it with a new "Find World" button. This system automatically searches for available game sessions and directly connects you to open worlds hosted by other players.
For longer or more intensive play sessions, I still recommend creating your own sessions, as foreign sessions may not always be found again later.
If no suitable session can be found, a fallback system will activate automatically:
A new personal game session will automatically be created
A savegame name will automatically be generated based on the current date and time

Loading Savegames
Due to the implementation of Crossplay, changes also had to be made to the savegame system.
Savegames are generally tied to the player. Previously, your Steam ID was used as the authentication ID for stored savegames. With the introduction of Crossplay, this system had to be adjusted and expanded.
New savegames are now stored using a platform-independent Crossplay Player ID. When loading a savegame, the system first checks this new ID.
Additionally, a fallback system has been integrated: For older savegames, the system will still check whether save data exists under your previous Steam ID. This ensures that all players continue to have access to their existing savegames.
Pause Menu
When pressing "Save", the "Skip Night" button was previously not grayed out, allowing it to still be clicked. This issue has now been fixed.
Vehicles
Exiting vehicles was previously somewhat inconvenient in certain situations. Further improvements have now been made, making leaving vehicles significantly smoother and more reliable.
Info: If your vehicle or helicopter flips over, you can now always reset it upright by pressing the Enter key.
Create Game
Additional smaller adjustments have also been made when creating a game. The option to switch the game mode from "Nature" to "Zombie" is now hidden by default.
It will only become visible once the corresponding DLC has been activated in the store or within your launcher.
Lobby
The Lobby system used for gathering players has been removed, as it was ultimately unnecessary.
When pressing "Create Game", you will now be loaded directly into the world without having to go through the Lobby system first.
Startup & Loading Improvements
The Loading Screens have also been revised and the overall flow has been further optimized.
When starting the game, the system now also checks whether you are connected to the internet in order to enable Crossplay. If no connection is detected, an Offline Button as well as a Reload Button for another connection attempt will be displayed.
Only in rare cases may the Crossplay authentication services become temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. However, this is normal behavior, similar to what is commonly experienced with services such as Steam, Epic Games, or similar platforms.
Store Page
The Store Page information has been expanded to better highlight the platform-independent multiplayer (Crossplay) functionality.
Inventory
A small issue has also been fixed here. Additionally, the display of item information has been adjusted so the information panel now scales better across different screen sizes.
Lost Island Map
A problem was reported where floating plants near the ruins area were visible. This issue has now been fixed.
