Friki Patch Notes — April 28, 2023
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey everyone! Over the past month, we've been putting in lots of effort to transition Friki from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. Upgrading to the new engine isn't a simple task, as many parts of the game need to be rebuilt or tweaked to make sure everything's perfect. This includes maps that might get complete makeovers or major improvements in areas like lighting, textures, and overall layout.
Unfortunately, some systems from Unreal Engine 4 don't work seamlessly in Unreal Engine 5, so we've got to rewrite or heavily modify them to fit the new engine.
Once the migration is done, you can look forward to graphic and lighting enhancements, better inventory and multiplayer systems, smoother performance, revamped maps, Unreal Engine 5 features like destructible objects, and an overall streamlined experience.
We're aiming to wrap up the engine migration process by this summer. We're super excited for you to enjoy the enhanced visuals, smoother gameplay, and all the awesome features that come with the upgrade. Your patience and support mean a lot to us as we work on refining the game's many aspects. Stay tuned for more updates, and a huge thanks for being a part of our journey!
