Fly with a Mouse? Believe it!
FPV SkyDive : FPV Drone Simulator News — May 19, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Until now, the full FPV experience usually required a dedicated controller or a radio transmitter. While we’ve always supported controllers and keyboards, we felt it was time to push the boundaries of accessibility even further.
Today, we are thrilled to introduce Revolutionary Mouse-Based Flight Controls!
Accessible through Controls settings menu.
We’ve completely re-engineered how you interact with the drone. You are no longer limited to just sticks or keys. By integrating the mouse into our flight physics, we’ve opened the FPV physics to every PC gamer on the planet.
Four New Ways to Play
Depending on your style, you can now choose from four distinct "no-controller" setups that mimic the traditional dual-stick experience:
Mouse Only: A pure, fluid way to steer using motion-based flight.
Keyboard + Mouse: The classic PC setup—Keyboard handles the left stick (Throttle/Yaw), Mouse handles the right (Pitch/Roll).
Mouse + Keyboard: The hybrid flip—Mouse on the left stick, Keyboard on the right.
Keyboard Only: For those who want to master the skies using pure digital inputs.

Channel mapping
Underneath the input profile settings new layout of action/channel map/axes can be found. New layout offers simple and clean design of most important part of calibration.

Additional keyboard/mouse settings (enable/disable):
New profiles are offering additional settings to make your flight with keyboard or/and mouse more fun or simple:
Sticky throttle
Virtual mouse
Mouse yaw
Mouse throttle
MacBook mode
Detail description is available in controls settings.
Preview
With the preview function you will be able to see how the drone interacts with the assigned axes. Preview mode will also work for controllers (gamepads and RCs).

Why this changes everything?
This isn't just a "simplified" mode; it's a new way to feel the drone's physics. Whether you are traveling and don't have your radio with you, or you're a newcomer wanting to try FPV before buying hardware, these schemes allow for high-speed precision and immersive maneuvers.
We are encouraging you to try new controls and let us know on our discord what controls scheme you are using and what is your new favourite one.
