Formicide Patch Notes — June 15, 2017

This patch is a minor hotfix primarily to resolve several server and client crashes and performance issues.
NOTE: If you are hosting your own dedicated server, your server will stop appearing in the server list until you shut it down, let Steam patch Formicide, and restart the server.
General Bug Fixes
- Fixed a server crash that could occur while initializing data for a player that had recently joined the server.
- Fixed a server crash that could occur immediately after a player had been killed.
- Fixed a server crash that could occur when remotely connecting via RDP to a computer hosting a server.
- Fixed a rare client crash related to files being temporarily inaccessible while loading.
- Fixed the lava rock explosions on The Lava Dome from applying force to unintended projectiles.
- Fixed coloring on steel gate effects for red team on match start.
UI Updates
- Limited the max number of lines displayed in the server manager console output to 400. This previously was growing unbounded and was likely contributing to sporadic server unresponsiveness.
- Limited the max number of players displayed in the server manager players list to the 100 most recently connected players. This previously was growing unbounded and was likely contributing to sporadic server unresponsiveness.
- Updated the server list to initially leave the "Not Full" and "No Password" filters unchecked.
- Updated the loading screen tip about jump height and double jumping to reflect that only the Hunter can double jump.
Class Updates
Biomite
- Decreased Minimite damage to 11 from 12.
Soldier
- Max HP Increased to 200 from 175.
Sniper
- Max HP Increased to 160 from 150.
- Proxy Mine web duration reduced to 3.3 seconds from 5 seconds.
- Fixed issue with fully charged Stinger (right click) bouncing off of targets rather then piercing through them. These shots are still stopped by targets with over 250 HP.
Hunter
- Max HP Increased to 160 from 150.
Engineer
- Max HP Increased to 160 from 150.
- Turret Shield Wall HP per bubble reduced to 300 from 500.
- Turret Large Laser damage reduced to 18 from 20.
Cannoneer
- Mortar projectile explosion damage reduced to 100 max from 150 max
- Mortar duration reduced to 12 seconds from 14 seconds (one less projectile fired)
Developer Comments: With all the hectic battles going on, we wanted to boost the HP of several classes just a bit. It's possible there will be more HP buffs in the future to extend fights a bit longer, but we want to see how these and a few other small adjustments change things. We also noticed the Engineer giving people a lot of trouble, especially new players. Shield wall in particular has been frustrating to play against, so we nerfed it a bit.
To players running into problems with the turrets - note that taking out an Engineer prevents it from being repaired or re-shielded, and usually makes them easy prey. Additionally, Cannoneers and Snipers can take them down from a distance with a single well-placed shots (Right click for Sniper, Drill for Cannoneer).
