Flotsam Patch Notes — March 15, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey Drifters,
1.0.1f4 is now live on the Experimental branch, tackling several issues with Quests and Pathfinding. We'll let it simmer there for a bit to ensure the main branch stays stable.
If you're experiencing issues listed in the changelog, please give the 1.0.1f4 and let us know if they have been resolved.
Lastly, we're aware the Architect Mode still has a few unresolved issues. We're currently working on improvements and fixes in an upcoming patch.
This patch is still in development and can be tested on the experimental branch to give feedback.
This is how you can enable the experimental branch of Flotsam. This will only work when you're not in a game:
Open Steam Library
Right-click Flotsam
Select Properties
Go to tab 'Betas' at the top
Select 'Experimental' in the drop-down
1.0.1f4
Fixes
Fixed issue where a drifter could get stuck when swimming towards the town due to an incomplete path.
Fixed issue where objectives would break when loading the 'Go Big to Go Home' quest during the fifth step.
Fixed issue where redoing a specialist quest after the specialist had died would cause it to auto-complete.
Fixed issue where redoing a quest kept references from the first completion, causing problems such as objectives pointing to previously salvaged landmarks.
Adjusted the Chef questline to make it easier to redo and recruit the Chef again.
Fixed issue where some quest objectives could auto-complete without meeting their requirements.
Fixed issue issue where map bearings could disappear after loading a save where the bearing had been updated.
Fixed issue where some landmarks would lose their bearing after being reached, even if their objectives were not completed.
Fixed issue where some quest objectives displayed 'LANDMARK' or 'any' instead of the landmark's name.
Fixed issue where pausing during the Radio Signals dialogue could cause the landmark camera pan to get stuck unless un-paused.
Fixed issue where the town could load into a deleted part of the map. It is now no longer possible when moving on the map to move to a position outside the bounds of the world. If this happens, the town is simply not moved upon leaving the map. If position outside of the bounds is detected when loading a save, the town will be moved to a position closest to the furthest distance previously traveled.
Fixed issue where a drifter could get stuck on the Fancy Restaurant's decoration slots.
Fixed issue where quest recipes could unlock before doing the quest objective that unlocks them.
Fixed some dialogue not correctly displaying an image or drifter.
Fixed tiny issue where the Advanced Radio Station could not have Weight Upgrades installed.
Improved the Drifter vitals system behind the scenes, fixing several issues and enabling future improvements.
