Fantasy of Expedition Patch Notes — September 14, 2020

Greetings, expert expeditioners!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Fantasy of Expedition players for your support, feedback, and encouragement. With your help, we were able to make many exciting changes and additions within the half-year Early Access period, including: A new Hero, new maps, 15 new items, 7 new Recruits, 10+ new monsters, 20+ new skills, and new effects for all Sects and Formations.
As the world descends further into chaos, the Sanctuary has expanded to provide exorcism and confession services. Not only are many monsters mutating, profiteers have appeared in Survival Mode to steal exchange Legacy Points. To better adjust to the ever-changing battlefield, a march formation to separate Rearguard and Vanguard troops was added. Furthermore, the strategic command system has been upgraded to support single unit control. Not only have we made many additions to the game, we're also committed to balancing the game and fixing bugs, making many necessary changes (and sometimes reversing them in a later version).
Fantasy of Expedition wouldn't have made it this far without your support. We will continue to improve and expand the game with the guidance of our players. Please look forward to more exciting expeditions in the future!
Contents and Features
- The Demon Lord will now join the latter half of the last trial. Try your hand at defeating him!
- The Strategic Commands screen can now be opened in battle, opening up more detailed options for troop maneuvers.
- Random event encounters have been added to the new revamped Survival Mode.
- Improvements have been made to the Hero Info screen and some UIs.
- Lighting effects have been revamped for certain places.
- A reset option was added to the hotkey adjust screen.
- More events and effects have been added, including the ""White Gloves"" achievement.
- A re-challenge option has been added to Expedition Mode when players fail a stage.
- An interface for checking Formations during battle has been added.
- The Shop, Sanctuary, and Dojo will all be open for use before the Trial of the Demon Lord.
- An option to check Formations has been added when choosing Rewards.
- An option to check the stats of both sides has been added at the result screen.
- An option to check all Sect and Formation effects has been added at the Formation edit screen.
- A new multi-Sect effect has been added: Harmony.
- New Recruits have been added:
- Bow Guards, Hellions, Hypnotists, Berserkers, Poison Masters, Fighters, and Blade Dancer.
- 16. New, unique monsters have been added:
- Bladed Witch, Hell Hound, Hydra, and Masked Magus.
- 17. A new game mode has been added.
- Sim Mode: Spend Legacy Points on the Simulator to unlock Sim Mode on the Start Screen. This mode will allow players to customize previous encounters, recruits, items, and blessings for battle simulations.
- 18. Upgraded skills have been added:
- Art of Assassination/Master Assassin: Kill enemies for HP gain.
- An Eye for an Eye/Double Counter: Return DMG taken to the attacker.
- Proficiency/Diligence: ATK+ for every skill used.
- Unyielding/Fearless: ATK+ when HP is lost.
- Pyromania/Master of Flames: ATK+ for every burning enemy.
- Art of Assassination/Master Assassin: Kill enemies for HP gain.
Adjustments
- Damage reduction effect for Horseback Assault has been increased to 20%. A prompt will be displayed when this effect triggers.
- Individual Dodge rate when invisible has been increased from 50%.
- All individual skill CDs have been decreased and their DMG increased.
- The effectiveness of DEF for both sides has been increased.
- DMG effects and text prompts have been optimized to reduce battle lag.
- ATK reduced from Recon Recruits when they choose Bounce upgrades has been lessened.
- Electromancers will now be offered Ball of Lightning chain increase as an option for a level-up upgrade.
- Hero Info on the battle screen will now reflect current battle status in real time.
- Some skill descriptions will now display the actual stats change.
- Effects for most of the basic attack skills have been optimized.
- Miniature Blackhole has been adjusted to work on single target for 2 Energy, with the help of the Strategic Commands UI.
- Skill types and colors have been redistributed.
- Same recruits of different levels will not count towards the total Sect member count.
- Basic attacks of the Slayer can now stun enemies.
- Crit attacks of the Slayer will now replenish more Energy.
- The Suspicious Trader will leave after the Hero purchases a Relic.
- DMG returned to the attacker will no longer ignore their DEF stat and will be affected by their dodge/damage reduction.
- The Ball of Light skill of the Priestess can now damage enemies in its path.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue where some characters will occasionally stand still in battle.
- Resolved an issue where invisibility will occasionally break when marching.
- Resolved an issue where purchasing a Relic from the Suspicious Trader causes the game to quit without saving.
- Resolved an issue where the currency icon displays incorrectly for the Suspicious Trader.
- Resolved an issue where numbers may display incorrectly on character cards.
- Resolved an issue where skills may display incorrectly when choosing a Hero.
- Resolved an issue where Frostward and Flameward cause friendly damage.
- Resolved an issue where historical Legacy points don't match actual Legacy points.
