Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Automatic transmission improvement so it won't upshift when there is wheelspin.
Changed the default transmission to Automatic.
Updated Unity version which pointlessly required complete rewrite of tire smoke and other things.
Fixed a bug in new Unity version where, when driving 5KM from origin, the player position would snap to a random location.
In Casual difficulty, Rescue will now work at any speed.
Improved a replay behaviour where the world load would be centered around a random racer instead of player.
Quick Restart and Quick Rescue: restart event or rescue vehicle without visiting the menu. Default: D-pad down for restart and D-pad up for rescue.
Added Traffic. In Story mode certain roads (particularly the freeway) now have traffic to improve gameplay and ambience when traveling between certain destinations. Traffic spawners can be placed in build mode, and there is an Event level override in Environment when you can set the traffic level for each Event.
Quest selection improvements. Now when you go to the Main Menu and select Reset, you will be presented with options to go to School, Story, or Events. Previously to change from Story to School the game would need to be restarted.
Comprehensive training. School/Tutorial now contains more than four times as many lessons divided into four courses, gradually increasing the challenge from a lesson on how to make a vehicle accelerate to downhill drifting, J-turns and other stunts.
A diagram of all controls now appears in the Pause menu.
Changed the way Championships work in Events mode: now instead of a static counter with limited Restages, there is a time penalty for each Restage.
