Deadzone Haunt Patch Notes — April 23, 2025
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey everyone,
Only 1 day left until launch! Today, we're giving you a first look at several core features: Minimap, Firing Range & Tutorial, Controller Support, Automatic Leaning, the Point System, and the Random Weapon Machine.
Automatic Leaning:
When aiming down sights and approaching cover like walls or vehicles, your character will automatically lean to the side.

Minimap:
The minimap shows all key elements that help you dominate the zombies — including ammo crates (800 points), all perk machines, the Weapon Upgrade machine, the Random Weapon Machine, and even all active zombies.
Below the minimap, you'll also see how many zombies are left in the current round.

Controller Support:
Deadzone Haunt supports both controllers and mouse & keyboard. To deliver a true FPS experience on controller, we’ve implemented:
– Customizable Deadzones
– Optional Aim Assist (toggleable in settings)
– Optimized Aim Response Curves for smooth and responsive control
– Separate Sensitivity & ADS Sensitivity options
– Full Button Remapping (e.g. swap shoot from R2 to R1)
Firing Range & Tutorial:
This is a dedicated map where you can test all weapons and upgrades against dummies to fine-tune your aim.
You can also start the tutorial here, which walks you through the key mechanics of the game.

Point System:
– Normal Kill: 85 points
– Headshot Kill: 125 points
– Melee Kill: 160 points
Random Weapon Machine:
Spin the Random Weapon Machine up to 10 times per game for 2,000 points per spin. Each spin gives you a random weapon — with a chance to receive an already-upgraded version.

Thanks for being part of this journey — we’re excited to launch tomorrow and can’t wait to hear what you think!
