I'm not proud about what I'm about to type but the Dead community is full of super kind and supportive people so I hope existing and new people understand. I want to be honest.
I could not fix the FPS issue. I don't know what caused it and I tried so many different methods to resolve the issue, none of which worked. It's a total mystery and I'm going to have to take this as a big learning experience going forward with other games like Mini-Dead.
So, Dead will be reverting to v5.0.0.6 and, unfortunately, I will not be able to update the game until I figure out this issue. This means any new bug fixes or features will have to reside in the branch at the risk of low FPS. The good news is that Dead will run at a silky smooth 60 fps by default.
As far as I'm aware the only issue with 5.0.0.6 is the alternative dodge not full working when moving diagonally.
I love Dead and it really bothers me that I can't support it reliably. In the mean time I will continue to try and fix the issues and figure out how to best support future games.
