Damned Patch Notes — December 1, 2025
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
We want to inform the community that Damned will soon be removed from the Steam Store. Players who already own the game will still be able to access and play it normally.
This decision is being made because Damned was built on our own custom engine, created many years ago. That engine no longer receives support from us, and many of the third party components it relies on are also unsupported today. As a result, keeping the game running properly on modern hardware has become increasingly difficult, and we want to avoid a situation where new players purchase the game and face issues we can no longer solve.
To be completely clear, existing owners will continue to have access to the game. Nothing will be taken away from those who already own a copy.
As a team of only two people, our efforts are now fully focused on Damned 2. This new project was designed from the ground up to be sustainable long term. It does not depend on servers, and it is built in Unreal Engine to ensure it remains functional and future proof for as long as the internet exists.
Thank you for understanding and for being part of the history of Damned.
