CODE2040 Patch Notes — February 15, 2021
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Patch Notes 1.030
◆ New events
1. 50% Season 1 EXP boost event now activated.
2. Sky Lantern Set, ASSC Set, Office Worker Bundle, Western Street Bundle, Oriental Street Bundle are now available in the SHOP.
3. Mesh-Blue, Green Apple weapon skins are now available in the SHOP.
◆ Gameplay Changes
1. Based on the feedback from several tests, we decided to decrease some weapons' damage (mainly high firing-rate weapons). This adjustment will also indirectly increase TTK (Time to Kill) in CODE2040.
Weapon balance adjusted:
TW-106
TK-1
RD-LAMG
TW-249
RD-417
TW-107
RD-UMP
RD-870 (shotgun shots per bullet has decreased by 2)
The single-shot damage of each weapon has roughly decreased by 22-25%. We understand those are not minor changes, but for the high firing-rate weapons, the increase in TTK will not exceed 20% in general. Relatively speaking, it could increase the reaction time for using SOMA Balls while being attacked.
We will pay close attention on the weapon balance and continuously examine the need for further adjustments.
In the near future, more weapons will be added in CODE2040. Please stay tuned for further updates.
2. Enhancing the special damage and firing effects of Avalon Samurai Edge, making it an effective measure against Phantom Armor Tactical Helmet (Lv. 4).
3. Decreasing the durability of Phantom Armor Tactical Helmet (Lv. 4). (All kinds of weapons could decrease its durability.)
4. Spawn distribution optimized.
5. Higher equipment and firearm supply in starting area.
6. Slightly decreased headshot hitbox.
◆ Other Changes
1. Players will not be able to ping during animations.
◆ Fixes
1. Fixed the occasional problem of Mosina’s ammo chest cannot be opened automatically.
2. Fixed the occasional problem of causing shattered sounds after battle results.
3. Fixed the Lv1 backpack display problem for Hunter and Assault classes in 2042 Operation Storm.
4. Other bugs fixed.
Thank you for your continued support of CODE2040.
