Close Order Patch Notes — September 13, 2016
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Good morning everyone!
We woke up this morning to find out that Steam has a new system for reviews. In an effort to curb illegitimate reviews and grey market key resellers, Steam no longer shows reviews of games that were done by an account that redeemed a key for the game in question.
In short, it limits reviews to only those people who bought the game through Steam -- no longer counting or allowing reviews of people who redeemed a key.
This has drastically altered the amount of reviews on Close Order, as many of our players who left reviews - both positive and negative - had been a part of our community from the very beginning (keys given at local events, some of our first people in Early Access), and/or were players who got it through bundles.
Today, we come to you all with a humble request: If you bought Close Order, please review the game for us! If you haven't played in a long while (i.e. before March-ish), we recommend playing again too. Whether you loved it or hated it, every piece of feedback helps us grow as developers in addition to getting our store page back to normal.
Thank you all again for everyone that's been with us on this journey! We're knee-deep in our next game Traiteur (which you should totally wishlist right now!) but Close Order lives on in our hearts and through our fans.
You're all awesome. Thank you so much. <3
