Bring Back The Sun by Daniel da Silva Patch Notes — February 21, 2021

Oh boy, this update got bigger than I initially planned. One day when I took a break from my new project (Sonucido: The Mage), I decided to improve the code in Bring Back The Sun a little bit and thought about putting some Quality of Life features into the game.
This quickly turned into a much bigger update!
I discovered that I had some settings wrong in the graphical department but could fix them fast and the game looks a lot sharper now, especially on higher resolution screens.
Also, to improve the graphics even further, I designed a whole new tileset of broken tiles and put some of them here and there. I use them only a few times because I didn't want to change the core look of the game too much but I think these tiles are a good addition!
This is by far the biggest update to the game yet and I let the changelog speak for itself!
TL;DR
Sharper graphics, more visual variety, Quality of Life features.
PS: If you can't see a difference right away, it's more noticeable on large monitors.
Full Changelog
- I got rid of filtering the tiles and now the game looks a lot sharper!
- Newly designed tiles added to increase the visual variety
- Change the music and sound volume from your keyboard (F1/F2)
- You can instantly go to the reset save menu - this should be nice for speedrunners (F7)
- You can now quit the game directly and skip the menu (F8)
- I moved the screenshot key from tab to F6
- You can now disable the F1-F8 keys in the settings if it is causing problems with your setup
- Reduced the filesize over 5%
- I reduced the standard volume of the music and sound to the 75% setting
- A lot of code improvements and cleanup
- Performance improvements (in 1-2 places the performance is a bit worse but overall it's better)
- Some graphical adjustments
- The sun looks different now
- Layout of the menu improved
