Barbecue Patch Notes — June 19, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Your feedback about the game's difficulty has been heard. This patch addresses it by adding difficulty levels and several gameplay options, along with fixes for several blocking bugs reported by the community.
What's New
Difficulty Levels
Added four difficulty levels that apply presets of modifiers (rain, meat spoilage, etc.):
- Rare (easy)
- Medium (normal)
- Well done (hard)
- Charred (impossible)
New Gameplay Options
- Toggle food-stealing animals on or off.
- Adjust how fast hunger decreases (fast, normal, slow).
Graphics Options
- Added an option to disable Motion Blur in the settings.
Bug Fixes
- Animals no longer get stuck indefinitely on an unreachable food target. An animal now ignores that target for a while before going after a new piece of food.
- Fixed pedestrians getting stuck in front of the shop while trying to reach an unreachable object.
- Fixed a bug where pedestrians knocked down by a car stayed stuck on the ground indefinitely.
- The wooden skewer now drops the meat attached to it when it burns and is destroyed.
In Progress
More bug fixes are still in progress, along with improved multiplayer integration.
Multiplayer
Multiplayer currently runs through Steam.
